::Sayuri Takeru::
Type: Original
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Crushes:Masaru TakahiroNone.
Face Claim: Saber - Fate/Stay Night
Appearance:Sayuri's physical build could be considered little more than average, taking into account her height and stature. Standing just barely over five feet tall, her body lacks any definitive feminine curves when taking into account the clothing she wears. However, upon closer inspection, it is clear that she is both curvaceous and dainty; built like a dancer, she is light on her feet when walking, graced with well-proportioned arms and legs to fit her short stature. Overall, the blonde weighs little more than 95 lbs, which is far from underweight when taking into consideration her height.
Built with a very lite, light frame, to many Sayuri can be seen as simply "cute" or "pretty", vastly different than some of the more vulgar terms attributed to women such as "gorgeous" or "sexy". Sayuri possesses a beauty that is distinctly feminine, but not to a point where she is easily fantasized about in the minds of men; put simply, she appears to be little more than a pretty face. This "cuteness" factor can be attributed to her size, as she is clearly quite small for the sort of sports she endorses in. Despite that, Sayuri does have visibly feminine curves, with a bust well-hidden by her choices of clothing, though by appearance many are liable to assume that she is extremely flat-chested.
Despite appearing fragile and like a china doll, Sayuri is built surprisingly sturdy for her size and appearance. Having spent years involved in kendo and other traditional types of swordplay, such as fencing, Sayuri's build revolves around evasiveness and cunning, her body having instinctively learned to attack with quick, mediocre-strength strikes rather than slow, heavy attacks. Due to her physical conditioning, Sayuri is much stronger physically than most will anticipate, a trait easily hidden by her appearance.
Casual Wear
Sayuri's choice of casual wear is not the type of wear most others would deem "casual". While she is not opposed to more casual outfits, Sayuri chooses to dress with both a sense of fashion and function. One of the more common outfits she is seen in consists of a pair of black leggings, matched with a knee-length blue skirt. The skirt at first appears to be extremely tight, with a thick waistband worn on the natural waistline; however, upon closer inspection, one can see that the back of the skirt is open, allowing for easy movement whenever necessary. With that, Sayuri is known to pair a plain white blouse with a blue ribbon tied at the neck. Most of Sayuri's clothing consists of loose skirts with leggings to avoid wardrobe malfunctions, giving her a sense of femininity and function at the same time.
School Uniform
While she does not feel that the uniform serves the function it should normally, Sayuri is not opposed to Ouran's female uniform. However, as a result of her own dislike of its function, she has modified it slightly, while keeping it within dress code for the school. Her version of the uniform has a detachable skirt and petticoat as well as sleeves; underneath the large skirt, Sayuri wears a plain white skirt reaching to her knees, thin and easily mobile. Rather than simply a pair of dress socks, Sayuri will wear a set of white leggings, allowing her to easily avoid wardrobe malfunctions. Essentially, while it appears that her dress is simply the regular school uniform, it is in fact a modified version made to serve its wearer well.
Personality:First and foremost, Sayuri is easily seen as the type of person who is built to be a leader. She walks, talks, and interacts in a manner of self-confidence that appears to be unending, almost always carrying herself in a very high, chest-centered manner. Many can say that an aura of power, ability, and high-ranking surrounds her, though most who know of her name do not know the reason why she might give off such an aura. To say the least, Sayuri is a very confident person, though she is far from egotistical or cocky; put simply, she knows whether she can do something or not, and if she is able, she will not fear to do something, either.
When speaking to Sayuri, however, her diction and way of speaking is almost completely opposite to the feminine glow she exudes. When speaking to anyone, no matter their status or position, she will often come off as cold and calculating, showing little to no emotion whatsoever. To say the least, Sayuri is somewhat of an icy princess, with a personality that appears to be polar opposite than what she may appear to be. She speaks in an extremely formal manner, often referring to people by their surnames for respect and formality, as well as speaking clearly with proper enunciation and articulation.
Despite her stoic personality, however, it would be incorrect to say that Sayuri is emotionless completely. Rather, it is almost the opposite; Sayuri is extremely capable of emotion, and is probably one of the most empathetic people one could meet. However, because of her lineage and because of events in her previous life, Sayuri has made the conscious choice to lock away her emotion, viewing it as a form of weakness if she were to outwardly display the contents of her heart upon her face and in her actions.
Loyalty, however, is one of Sayuri's strongest traits. Having grown up surrounded by a family trained as bodyguards to politicians, as well as her favourite literature pertaining to knights and their Code of Chivalry, Sayuri has learned to live her life by a strict code, highly akin to that of the code of a knight. As a result, she often sees herself as a sort of 'knight', as she is more or less Takahiro Masaru's assigned bodyguard. As a result, she is loyal to his every word, often referring to him as her King. While she does have a tendency to be defiant and argumentative towards him, if ordered to do something, she will follow such an order, even if she does not like the orders she has been given.
Attributed to her training and upbringing in the role of a bodyguard, Sayuri has learned to be observant in every daily task she partakes in. She is known to take in every detail of every situation and process it with quick speed, analyzing it and storing the information should it be useful in a later situation. As a result, Sayuri chooses her words carefully when speaking, always following the rule of "think before you speak". Despite that, she is known to be rather blunt with certain statements; as someone who is completely serious most of the time, if something is wrong and she feels it is necessary to state it, then she will, without flinching or hesitating while doing so. As a result, Sayuri is not much of a joker, preferring to keep situation as serious as is possible. Pointless banter is not something she takes very well, and is far from hesitant when scolding others for doing such things.
Sayuri has an extremely one-track mind when it comes to most situations. When she has made a decision, her purpose becomes extremely set and straightforward, and deterring her from that decision requires much diplomacy and explanation. Only by explaining the pros and cons of a situation and allowing her to see the situation in a better light can someone deter her from a task that she has set herself to do. As a result, Sayuri is very stubborn and hard-headed, easily willing to butt heads in an argument with someone so long as she knows she is in the right.
Sayuri's views on a love life, however, are quite strange, to say the least. On the outside, Sayuri appears to be very aloof and detached about the whole concept, appearing to harbor no feelings for anyone, and with good reason as well. However, as per her ability to block out and lock away her emotions, Sayuri truly harbors deep feelings for Masaru. Having made the choice to consciously lock away these emotions, Sayuri has been able to convince even herself that she harbors no such feelings, becoming dedicated to only her purpose and nothing more. Therefore, even she is unaware of the depth of these feelings, despite the fact that if they were to be revealed to her once more, it would be easily noted that she is deeply attached to him. While she does experience feelings of attachment and worry towards Masaru, she simply attributes them to her willingness and desire to protect her King.
History:As much as many may suspect otherwise, Sayuri was not originally born into the family she is now a part of, the Takeru family. Sayuri was originally born in Copenhagen, Denmark, to Saaya Kazehiro and Kristoffer Schmidt. Her mother, Saaya, was of Japanese descent, but had been born in Denmark; both of her parents had been immigrants to the country. Her father, Kristoffer, was a Danish man that was a distant relative to the Danish royal family, revered as a lesser duke to the royal family. As a result, Sayuri lived a very sheltered early life, spending her days home schooled and rarely ever leaving. Despite this, however, she was a very bright, happy child, with an air of sunshine and optimism.
That was, however, until she reached the age of seven. At that point, her mother fell gravely ill and, as tests showed, it was found out that she was suffering from ovarian cancer in its fourth stage. Despite undergoing a number of treatments, by the time she had been found to have cancer, it was too late; as a result, Saaya passed away, leaving Sayuri and her father all on their own. From there, things simply went downhill. Kristoffer began mismanaging his money, firing many of his servants and ultimately degrading from there. He also became a heavy alcoholic, gambling and smoking while he did so.
Sayuri's life went from one of luxury to one of poverty. Over the span of less than a year, she went from living in a prestigious mansion to living in what was even considered poor for those of the middle class. Kristoffer's depression over the loss of his wife only caused him more grief; because of his sudden turn, he was revoked of his status of duke, causing the remainder of his close family to lose their status as well. He soon went from the father Sayuri had loved to a man she wished to avoid more than anything.
In his drunken state, Kristoffer became extremely abusive, physically abusing his remaining daughter whether she did something right or not. As a result, Sayuri became more or less introverted, locking away her emotions and putting on a strong face in order to fight what was ailing her. Despite their poverty, Sayuri was still attending school and, after a while, her teachers and friends began to notice the change in her personality and the unexplainable bruises and cuts plaguing her daily.
Concerned, Sayuri's teachers began to take action, revealing the abuse that the young girl had suffered at home. At the age of eight, Sayuri was put into a foster care system, but it was too late: she had already changed drastically. The girl that had once been bright, optimistic, and happy-go-lucky was gone, replaced with another who was more introverted, quiet, but strong nonetheless. She spent little time with people she would consider "friends", keeping herself distant from others as she chose to indulge in literature, particularly literature involving knights and their chivalric duties.
Until the age of nine, Sayuri was kept within the foster care system, until she came to the attention of Akane and Satou Takeru. A married couple living in Denmark, they were looking for a child to adopt, as Akane was unable to bear children, in order to carry on their legacy as bodyguards. Seeing the strength of the nine-year-old before them, Akane and Satou were sold, both by her story and the level of determination she displayed. WIth no other heir, Sayuri was adopted, changing her name from Sayuri Schmidt to Sayuri Takeru.
Upon her adoption, Sayuri was almost instantly thrust into the rigorous training routines of the Takeru family, finding herself enrolled in both fencing classes as well as kendo classes in Denmark. At such a young age, Sayuri showed great prowess, both out of natural skill and out of a love for the sports: she quickly ascended in skill with her fencing, and even though kendo rankings were based on the length of time spent in the sport, many considered her to be on a much higher level than what the rankings would tell in terms of skill.
At the age of eleven, Sayuri moved with her parents to Japan, where they were assigned to stay for a while. One day, while at school, Sayuri encountered a young boy about the same age as her being bullied by a few older students. She realized that he was in the same class as her: Masaru Takahiro. Angered that such students would even dare to treat another in such a manner, her desire to protect was finally brought to light; walking over, she was quick to defend Masaru from the bullies and they, realizing who she was, were quick to retreat.
From that point on, Sayuri would dedicate herself to keeping not only others from harm, but that boy whose distress had stirred her desire to protect. Later that evening, Sayuri realized that Masaru was none other than the son of a major politician and the Takeru family, known for serving as bodyguards to many high-ranking figures in various countries, had been assigned as bodyguards to the Takahiro family. That evening, Sayuri made a pledge to herself: no matter what, she would be sure to protect and watch over Masaru, partly because of her duty, and partly because of a growing affection for him.
For over a year, Sayuri dedicated herself to acting as Masaru's bodyguard, regardless of where she went. She was no official bodyguard, but despite that, she was like a quiet ghost at his side, keeping those who might wish to hurt him (usually bullies) at bay with ease. At the age of thirteen, however, Sayuri and Masaru parted, as Sayuri was removed from her public schooling in order to continue her training. Despite that, Sayuri vowed to return as Masaru's bodyguard: a promise she made quietly to not only herself, but to Masaru as well.
For three years, Sayuri found herself travelling across Europe mostly, moving from training school to training school rapidly as she increased in skill. She was trained in various forms: she completed her training in the art of fencing, though to this day she still practices it. She also ascended higher in kendo ranks, even serving as France's national champion while she was staying there. She also enrolled in tae kwon do, judo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, expanding her martial arts horizons well. Essentially, she was being trained to be the perfect bodyguard, a type of training which she did not regret a single bit.
After her three years of travelling, Sayuri returned to Japan, much to the welcome of her parents. She was bestowed with a family heirloom that signified her status as a full-fledged bodyguard, though she could not be considered as such completely; she was still a minor, and therefore couldn't serve such a duty until she was an adult. However, in a compromise with the Takahiro family, Sayuri was assigned by her family as the bodyguard to their son, the boy she'd left behind years ago.
Sayuri is currently attending Ouran Academy to complete her schooling and act as Masaru's bodyguard.Controller's Information

Sample RP:The short blonde took a deep breath as she stood before the mansion she'd once spent a lot of time in. Being back here brought forth a number of memories... Particularly, one that sat strongly with her, the one that had truly fueled her desire to persevere over the last three years. She remembered that day... Standing in the schoolyard, watching a young boy approximately the same age as her being bullied by others. She remembered clearly the desire to stop it, to prevent such an act from occurring. No matter who they were, they did not deserve such treatment.
That day seemed rather ironic. Even before knowing the boy, she had made the choice to protect. That incident itself had stirred her desires deeply... Perhaps as a result of her empathy. She hated to see others victimized, because she, too, had been victimized. Even still she carried the scars of her birth father, physically, emotionally, and psychologically. She was over the incident, to say the least; however, she would never allow herself to be so weak again. She had made the choice to lock away her own emotion for the sake of others, in order to serve as a guardian. A protector. To carry on the family whose open arms had taken her in to become their heir, regardless of blood.
And then to realize that the same boy she'd saved was the child of of the family her parents served as bodyguards to... It seemed rather ironic, though whether it was completely coincidental was questionable. Fate did strange things sometimes, after all... But this time, she had come here alone. She hadn't required accompaniment; she'd come with a letter, after all, formally addressed to the Takahiro family. Without opening it, she knew of the details: as she was the same age as Masaru, she would now take on the role of his bodyguard, if his family would accept them as such.
She had no regrets returning here, nor would she ever. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, she approached the gate, where she was let in by one of the servants. She was led first to the front door, then towards a lobby, where she was told to wait. She would wait patiently, no matter how long it would take; surely they must have had word of her arrival sent forth, or at least to the servants. She had a duty to fulfill, and she would do it. Even if they wouldn't accept her as a feasable guard, she would still perform that duty regardless; she had been informed that Masaru was to attend Ouran Academy, as was she. Needless to say, not being given official leave to perform a duty did not mean that she would stray away from doing it. It was not as if it would cause harm, after all...
Patiently the blonde waited, hoping to at least catch a glimpse of the one she'd left long ago...
