::Kaoru Hitachiin::
[/size]
Type: Canon
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Crushes: N/A
Face Claim: N/A
Appearance:Standing in at five feet and ten inches and weighing one hundred and thirty five pounds Kaoru Hitachiin’s stature is not much to brag about, at least, not compared to others in the club. While his build isn’t very athletic he is still decently toned and is about as strong as he looks, which is not very. He has a sharply angled bone structure which gives him a clean cut appearance. Kaoru has pale, delicate skin and hands that bruise and nick easier than his brother’s but since he is a tad more careful than Hikaru it evens out.
Kaoru has soft, messy red hair that is usually parted on the left side so that it drapes like a curtain over right side of his forehead, framing his high cheekbones. His eyes are a curious shade of gold, that have an uncanny ability to change from devilish to concerned in seconds flat. Protecting his eyes is a very full set of eyelashes that are perfect for reflecting tears whenever necessary. Kaoru’s chin is sharp but perfectly paired with his slightly fuller cheeks and small mouth that can easily reflect a little devil grin or a wholehearted smile.
When at school there is really only one thing that Kaoru can wear, that being the schools customary blue blazer and black trousers. The jacket has the school’s insignia just beside the peaked lapel on the left breast and the tapered pants were tailor made to fit perfectly. Under the blazer is a simple, crisp white dress shirt that is always neatly ironed every morning and hardly ever sees the light of day off school grounds, and the dress code black silk tie that has a single purple stripe running vertically down its center.
When Kaoru is out of school he goes all out with his clothing. He will wear vests and over shirts and undershirts and undershirts for his undershirts all paired with (usually) a pair of jeans or cargo pants. For the most part he wears clothing that is designed by his mother, but there are times when he is found donned in another designer’s fashions. Accessories come easily to the younger Hitachiin twin and it never takes him long to decide which scarf, necklace or shoes go best with which outfits.
Personality:Although the twins are quite rambunctious and mischievous, Kaoru is undoubtedly the more reserved of the two. He is the younger of the siblings, the follower and he often does whatever it is that Hikaru wants to do. He is calmer and more laid back unlike his high strung brother and he doesn’t get angry as easily. That doesn’t mean that he is less sensitive though, in fact he is more openly emotional and he cries easily. Of the two Kaoru is definitely the kinder one, though only those really close to him know him more than his playful outer shell.
When it comes to maturity Kaoru comes out on top every time against Hikaru, despite the fact that he is younger than his twin by only a few minutes. When things go haywire Kaoru will actually think about how things can be fixed instead of freaking out. He thinks things through rationally and calmly before doing something and whenever a girl confesses her feelings towards him he tries to find a reasonable way to let her down without completely crushing her soul. Unlike his brother Kaoru actually has an idea of how to act with people who are not inside their own little world.
Kaoru is slightly more intelligent than is brother, not necessarily in academics, but in common sense. He knows when enough is enough and where to draw the line in their trouble making where as it’s harder for Hikaru to see when they are actually going too far. One of the reasons why Kaoru sticks by his brother’s side so closely, other than the fact that he loves him and they are generally close as siblings, is that Kaoru make sure to stop his brother before he is in over his head, to keep him from going overboard.
When he is with his twin, though, there is a slightly different story to be told. Hikaru brings out the mischievous side in Kaoru and like sly little foxes they play their game. Whenever he needs to Kaoru can easily switch into his host mode and take on the sneaky but submissive role that his position encompasses. One person who is often on the receiving end of the twins’ pranks is none other than the Host Club’s king, Tamaki. Though Kaoru will probably be the first one to actually admit that Tamaki was the best thing to have happened to the twins and someday Kaoru will express their gratitude to him in a way that doesn’t include childish jokes and comments about his intelligence… just not today.
History:Growing up the way that they did it was only natural for the twins to grow closer together and apart from the rest of the world. Their mother is a world renowned fashion designer and is often away at shows and on trips for her work and their father is a traveling business man, needless to say both of their parents are out of the house a lot. Without parents around they needed to have a nanny, but of course, with their little trickster personalities the nannies were always being rotated out for new ones. Their grandmother, a wild-woman flower arranger, and aunt stop in from time to time, but their visits are seldom and far between.
The only people who were constant in their lives were each other, so they grew up to be very dependent on one another. At some point their world seemed to split from the world of others and in the twin’s minds it became “us” and “them”, the “us” being their own little island of two where they both knew who they were and no one else could disturb them.
Their own little world was turned completely upside down one day when they were offered an invitation into a very new, very special club. At first they denied the invitation completely, thinking it was stupid and a waste of their time, but after much persistence they finally decided to go with Tamaki’s request. It was only supposed to be a test run of sorts; the twins never thought that they would find so much enjoyment in the Host Club.
Kaoru, having always been the slightly more understanding twin, took to took to the change well. He was able to adapt to letting people into his bubble, to share his world with strangers and make new friends. It wasn’t until Haruhi came along though did they finally realize that they were becoming a part of something that was much greater than their selves. Now Kaoru looks forward to every day that will bring new opportunities and new faces, but he knows that his brother is still the most important person to him. No matter what he is doing Kaoru will always keep aside time to spend alone with his brother, back in their own little world.Controller's Information

Sample RP:Kaoru looked up, panicked. For as far as he could see there were only strangers walking past, minding their own business and buildings of glass reaching towards the sky and trying to block out the sun. The city smelled of exhaust, burning rubber and steam that was leaking from the vents underground, the only sign of the underground world of waterways and train tracks. The weather was cold and his breath could be seen as he panted heavily, having ran out of breath from his frantic searching.
The redhead looked down beyond the striped scarf that was splayed in disarray around his neck and at his hands which were covered in their thin leather gloves. Those hands had been holding onto something for so long, but yet now it was gone. No matter how hard he tried he couldn’t seem to find what it was that he could no longer grasp, what it was that would complete the puzzle that was his soul. What was it that he had held onto for so long? What was it that was no longer so close to him?
Kaoru startled as he was shoved to the side, a tall stranger brushing past him and into the sea of meaningless faces. He searched again, frantically, as if somehow something would be different, as if something would give him a clue as to what was missing. That was when he started running again. If this city didn’t hold the answers for him, then that only meant that he had to look further into the world, further into the past.
The wind whipped angrily at his face as he ran, it relentlessly stung at his eyes which were so near tears and his lips which were chapping in the frigid air. Not until he stopped again to catch his breath did the wind settle, as if allowing him the oxygen he needed to go on. When Kaoru looked up again he froze, and not because of the snow drifts around him. He was still in the city, but in a small part that was disguised to look like the countryside. It was an area that people went to get away from the fast paced city life.
It was a park the he recognized all too well. He would have remembered this park even if the pair of familiar eyes weren’t looking up at him in curiosity from behind the matching locks of red hair that shifted with the wind. Four gold eyes blinked, and soon so did his own. The two young boys sitting there on that bench hand in hand, they were both him. And yet they were also both someone else. The older Kaoru was about to ask them why they were there, sitting alone when he realized the most important thing. They weren’t along. They had each other.
”Which one of us is Kaoru?” The little boy on the left asked.
”Wha-?” Kaoru began, not understanding what the boy was asking. He was Kaoru, who else would have been Kaoru other than him? The boys didn’t allow him to finish his question. ”Which one of us is Kaoru, and which one of us is Hikaru?” The little boy on the right finished for his brother. The two stared up at him intently as their grip on each other tightened.
In that moment it was if the world had stopped spinning, as if the snow had froze mid flight, and if Kaoru had taken the time to look around he would have noticed that it actually had. ”Hikaru? Who’s Hi-“ He started, white drifts of snow that had fallen atop his hair had begun to melt and a droplet of water inched its way down his back, sending shivers down his spine. It took him a curt moment of silence, but afterwards when the pieces in his mind finally clicked into place, it was almost audible.
”Hikaru! Where is Hikaru!? Little me, do you know where he is?!” But the little boy he was addressing only shook his head in disapproval, his identical twin soon matching his movements. ”I’m not Kaoru.” was all he said with a deep set frown on his face before the wind picked up, hiding the two in its snowy drift. Kaoru was forced to hold his arm over his eyes to shield them from the assaulting gust. ”Hikaru!” He shouted, but when the wind died down the little twins were gone.
Tears made tracks down his cheeks as his cold hands formed fists. Why was the world so cruel! Must everything he cherish disappear!? When Kaoru looked up again this time, he noted with a new fear, the world was disappearing. It was being drowned in the horrid white snow that was swirling around him. He panicked, but everything that he tried to hold onto fell apart upon his touch. Maybe, he thought solemnly, it was actually he who was disappearing. And for some reason, he didn’t mind that thought so much, because what would his life be without his brother? ”Hikaru…” He whimpered out pitifully before the white overcame him.…
Kaoru shot straight up in his large bed, a cold sweat had consumed him during his nightmare and he was breathing heavily. His hand reached up to his chest as if to calm his rapidly beating heart. Quickly, as if he were to disappear if it was not done immediately, he located his brother who was still sleeping only a pillow away. His other hand had intertwined with Hikaru’s sometime in the night and he gave it a quick squeeze for reassurance.
’It was just a dream’ the younger twin thought to himself as he worried his lower lip to keep himself from crying out in relief. The room was still shrouded in darkness meaning that the sun had yet to rise, but other than that everything was right with the world; his brother was still in his rightful place by his side. ’Thank goodness it was just a dream’ With that Kaoru allowed himself to fall back onto his pillow, cuddle closer to his brother for safety and allow sleep to claim him once again.
