::Tamaki Suoh::
Type: Canon Age: 17 Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Crushes: None Face Claim: Tamaki Suoh
Description:
Generally speaking, Tamaki is a tall, slim fellow, being about 6ft. tall (though a bit more secretive on weight). His build isn’t overly athletic, though he at least has the endurance and build for some sports. With the work he puts into it, his skin is fairly smooth and blemish free as well as being generally light skinned. His hair color is a bright, noticeable blonde that he, oddly enough, doesn’t comb and likes to keep “naturally beautiful” in its growth (though he does cut it to keep it about neck length). Alongside his blonde hair is a set of dark-blue eyes, which are always brimming with some kind of emotion (usually a kind of clueless idealism though). His features are generally masculine enough to know he is male, but soft and gentle enough to give him what some call a “bishonen” look. And of course, he’ll play it up for all it’s worth.
He is most often seen wearing the male uniform of Ouran High School. His undershirt is that of a simple white-collared shirt combined with a black tie with a violet stripe. Over it he wears the blue jacket of the school, buttoned up to mid chest and with the school emblem on the left breast. Next, he wears a pair of black dress pants combined with black dress shirts. While he is often seen in this for the purpose of hosting, he is also known to wear a wide variety of other clothing, from simple white tuxedos all the way to a Bali-king’s clothing. Whatever to please the ladies.
In his off time, when he can be casual, he usually wears some kind of white shirt of varying length depending on the season. This may occasionally also be worn with a black undershirt of sorts. For pants, he usually prefers to wear black khakis of some sort, overall giving a casual yet still dressed up appearance to him.
Personality:
The first impression one is to see of Tamaki is that of a natural-charmer, which he puts to good use as the king of the Host Club. He enjoys giving shameless compliments towards his guest, playing the role as the “princely” type for the club. A modern-day Casanova, he strongly believes in what he does, wanting to share beauty with the world , like art in a museum or photos of nature’s greatest wonders. For all the casual flirting, however, he is very genuine and sincere in his compliments and behavior towards the girls that ask for him. After all, he believes the goal of the Host Club to first and foremost be to make their clients happy. A sincere, smooth-talking, lady-loving, romantic machine, he is easily the most popular person at the Host Club.
Around his friends, however, he is known for being something…else. To them, he is an over-emotional goofball, full of energy and excitement. His actions are always overdramatic and many times comical with emotion. He is also known to be very influenced by what people say about him; complimenting him is a quick way to his heart while insulting him sends him running towards a corner of woe. He is also very naïve at times, partially due to his unfamiliarity with “commoner’s” life, but more often due to his general good-hearted nature preventing him from seeing the bad side of a person at first glance. Even then, he is very quick to be forgiving towards them. The main result of this is he is always the first and most eager to help anyone in trouble, no matter what the cost.
The Host Club in general is very important to Tamaki; he sees clubs as more than just a group but as a family. The result of this is, in some comical moments, he’ll refer to himself as “Daddy” and Kyoya as “Mommy” (according to club position at least). This, however, stems from a deeper issue within him; his wanting for friends. Not having many friends when he was younger, combined with the troubling family issues he has, Tamaki is eager to make friends and keep them. He started the Host Club just for that reason, and is willing to do ANYTHING to keep it together, even at the cost of some personal joy and happiness.
The trouble with his family, however, is rarely ever brought up though. While his grandmother detests his mother, Tamaki is still kind towards her in hopes of getting her to accept him as a Suoh. However, he does wish to reunite with his mother as he had to leave her when he came to Japan. Now that she has gone into hiding, however, Tamaki is unsure if he’ll ever see her again. As for his father, they get along pretty well, although his father does love to tease him…
History:
Tamaki is the son of Ouran Academy’s principal, Yuzuru Suoh. His mother, however, was a beautiful and kindhearted French woman who Yuzuru fell in love with against the wishes of Tamaki’s grandmother’s wishes. His father divorced his current wife for her instead, and to this day Tamaki’s grandmother detests Tamaki’s mother. Eventually, however, the two lived separately, and Tamaki lived with his mother in France. During this time he was very close to his mother, learning to play the piano and all sorts of other activities with her (and also his interest in childish-games). However, his mother soon became ill, and as their finances at the time prevented her from getting better.
This was how it was until his grandmother (wanting to find a heir to the Suoh empire) made a deal with her when Tamaki was fourteen; she would provide the money for her to live healthily and comfortable in return for letting Tamaki move to Japan to prepare for his role as successor. His mother made the deal, and Tamaki moved to Japan. He soon discovered, however, that his grandmother forbid him from seeing his mother again, and that his mother soon went into hiding. While saddened, Tamaki moved forward to do his best, hoping that his grandmother would eventually accept him and his mother.
With is new move to Japan, Tamaki was quick to strike into the hearts of what would become the rest of the Host Club. His first target was Kyoya Otori, the third son of a president of a major company. The complete opposite of Kyoya, Tamaki’s naïveté allowed him to befriend the boy and drag him on trips all around the world an Japan until the kid finally lost his cool. Tamaki, however, could see through Kyoya’s ambition to outshine his brothers, with this insight leading to them becoming best friends even though Tamaki still is a pain in the neck to him.
His next major set of targets were the Hitachiin Twins, Hikaru and Kaoru. Seeing as they were misfits who kept to themselves, Tamaki attempted to befriend them. They let him play the “Which one is Hikaru” game, their usual method of keeping people away as no one could guess right. For over a month he harassed them, trying to figure out which one was which. Eventually he convinced them to come with him to join in the Host Club.
His final targets were Honey-sempai and Mori-sempai. The former was known at the high school for being a tough-guy martial artist who refused sweets and other cute things. Tamaki, however, was quick to spot that in reality he completely adored such things. Talking with him one day, Tamaki convinced Honey-sempai that true strength lay within being yourself, not copying the “warrior” that he was attempting to do. Honey-sempai agreed to join the club, and Mori-sempai was quick to follow since he followed Honey-sempai everywhere.
With his club formed, Tamaki entered Ouran High School Academy. It didn’t take long until the Host Club was the most powerful, popular club in the school. After a highly successful first year, Tamaki can’t wait for this new year to begin, what with the Hitachiin Twins now attending the school full time. What new wonders await him and his friends?

Sample RP:
Ah, today was such another extraordinary day at the Ouran Academy. Well, everyday was a wonderful day at the Academy, but something about today just felt extra special. Tamaki couldn’t put his finger on why though. As normal, he was heading towards the music room where the Host Club made its residence. However, they did not have anything planned for today’s events did they? No special costumes, no special theme; just a normal day of providing fun and entertainment to the ladies of the school. So if there was nothing going on at the Club, then what was it that was causing him to just feel like something was special about today?
Lost within his thoughts, Tamaki almost missed the person standing in front of the door to the club. Spotting them at the last second though, he ducked behind the corner and took watch. Who WAS this slovenly mess of a man? The hair was a strangled mess that made Christmas lights from the attic look clean and straightened. His oversized sweater looked as dirty, brown, and wrinkled as the skin of a rotten banana. And those glasses? Why, the Great Wall of China had a thinner border than those things? Did a commoner somehow mistakenly made his way into the Academy? No, that couldn’t be it; the security wouldn’t have let them through. That meant that this person had to be a student, so was it a person who had lost a bet?
Whatever the case may be, the person was standing in front of the door of the Host Club. That meant only one thing; that this person was to be a customer of the club! Hmm, odd; they rarely had male customers, and none obviously like this. Still, it was the job of the Host Club to entertain any and all guests that arrived, no matter the class, gender, or any other reason another person would turn them away. And since it seemed that no one else was around, it was to be his job to entertain this potential new customer. Standing up straight, Tamaki princely walked around the corner and began to approach the new person.
”Welcome newcomer to the Ouran High School Host Club. Please, do not be afraid of entering our premises…”
With that he placed his hand on the boy’s shoulder and turned him around. Yes, those glasses were big, but yet there was something about the eyes underneath them that seemed interesting. But as long as those glasses were there, however, it wouldn’t amount to anything; it could just be a trick of the light after all. With a gentle touch, Tamaki lifted up the boy’s chin and brought his own face closer to him.
”After all, we accept all those who come for pleasure, whether straight or gay.” he replied with a gentle smile. The gay comment may have seemed odd, but why else would a man be coming to the Host Club to be entertained? After all, their services weren’t really that oriented towards straighter males…
