everything's in order in a black hole everything was pretty in the past though
Kaname was not the least bit alright with the situation she appeared to have landed herself in. Or, to be more specific, she just really wasn't alright with people in general today, not just herself. The day had started simply enough, all the usual routines were followed through rather ordinarily from the manner in which she awoke to her travel to the prestigious academy to her first couple of classes within the day. Girls continued to gossip, boys continued to be charming - it really was just business as usual up until just a couple hours ago when midday struck.
As it so happened, a sudden realization struck her in that moment in the day, that there was a rather urgent matter that needed her immediate attention. A book. And yes, it’s certainly an odd sort of emergency and understandably anyone else who happened to know of her concerns in its regard would think her terribly strange perhaps, but you must understand – it was the book. The book she had only recently heard of, by which I mean two weeks prior, the book that while up until that point had gone unknown, was every bit as important now as an impending history or math test and had consumed virtually every waking moment until now. It was the book that initially disappointed her by being unavailable those two weeks earlier in the school’s library as well the closest other ones, and the book that had brought her spirits back up when she heard the news that it would in fact be arriving on this day all that time ago and the one she’d been waiting on for what seemed like ages now.
And there would only be two copies of it and with it being the middle of the day and her knowing that there were others just as excited for it’s arrival, (well, maybe that was true; in a school like this it wouldn’t be so surprising if that weren’t the case at all.) the fact that she had recalled so late had sent her into a near panic and caused her to race (read: walk extremely fast-like) to reach the library before her lunch break ended. Because who needed food when there was something so serious as a newly-arrived early edition of Oscar Wilde’s the Ballad of Reading Gaol, right? It was apparently a nice little donation from someone she didn’t know, but was rather grateful towards all the same.
However, she was unable to reach the place until now, once classes were officially over for the day, because she had the misfortune of being dragged away from the library doors just as she reached them by a gaggle of girls who desperately needed an opinion whether ‘this dress worked with this bow’ among other trivial things. And sitting through an hour of that was just torturous.
Because of the preoccupation of the students in their socializing, most, if hardly any actually bothered using the library for anything besides a hangout. And there unfortunately was a lot of that going on today she realized once she finally got there. So much in fact, that it was difficult to hear herself think, let alone get the librarian’s directions for where one of the books were in this moment.

Kameko held back an irritated sigh as she fiddled with the pages of her history book. Studying just wasn’t something that she wanted to do right about now. The seventeen year old placed her books on the expensive oak table in front of her and snuggled in her chair as her golden gaze looked out the window gazing at the blue sky. Today just had to be one of those days where there was nothing to do and the day just dragged by slowly than it usually would. Her brown hair brushed across her face and tickled her nose making her scrunch up her nose slightly before tucking the strand of hair behind her ear. “Maybe I should go to the host club...” she said thoughtfully knowing that most of her friends-that were girls- would always gossip about the lovely place. They would practically scream about it while she just sat there smiling and nodding along as if she knew what they were talking about. Kameko couldn’t blame them, all of her years in Ouran she remembered when the place first opened up.
Now she wasn’t a fangirl but she did enjoy popping in every so often to see what was going on. Everyone liked a little eye-candy here and there and that’s how Kameko felt but when it came to the boys flirting and showering ladies with compliments the poor girl couldn’t help but to cover her face for a moment hiding her blush. It was unusual to have guys do that sort of thing, it was so bold. Not to mention Kameko just didn’t know how to expect compliments from anyone of that matter. "I'll go later, probably." she picked up her notebook and began to doodle on a blank sheet of paper our of sheer boredom drawing a flower here and there then different types of animals. For now she had to concentrate on something other than that silly Host Club at this point. Her studying habits were all off, her mind was in different places, she just couldn't focus.
She wouldn’t have been this bored if only the person she was supposed to meet up with were here. Yes, Kameko had a talent of being a little tutor for other students and teachers thought it would be better for a student like herself to explain things better. Even if Kameko secretly did enjoy helping other with work she couldn’t help but to feel a little annoyed that this other was either running late or just ditched her for something better to do, “I guess it’s no problem. It's not the first time this has happened to me.” She tapped her pen on her lower lip as a habit. She closed her eyes holding back a yawn as small tears creped at the corner of her eyes.
Kameko quickly wiped the tiny tears away from her facing hoping that no one around her thought that she was crying then she would have to explain herself. Although it didn't sound like such a bad idea to have a small talk with someone if not she would just doze off to sleep until she was dismissed to class. But just as she thought to drift off to la-la land her eyes landed on a girl that looked utterly confused. Kameko slowly stood to her feet fixing her dress and walked over towards the other. "You look a little lost do you need any help?" she asked smiling just a little.
