Meet me in the west library after school…
Scowling Eri stared at the slip of paper as if willing it to give her an answer. The youths chair was leaning back dangerously on its two hind legs as she pondered over the simple puzzle. No signature. No special quality to the paper. It was just a page torn from a notebook written in quick clean writing. But who had left it on her desk? Sure enough the tall girl had come back from lunch to find the note neatly folded and waiting for her...It had consumed the sharp eyed girl’s thoughts the rest of the day. Who had left it? What did they want? Why the library? When the clock had struck and the bells rung to signify the end of the day Eri was a blur out of the classroom before the first chime was finished.
A job shrouded in secrecy?! A rival wanting revenge?! Blackmail!? Conspiracy?! Scowl deepening Eri leaned forward and her chair clattered loudly, the sound echoing through the empty room. The west library had recently been renovated between that and its distance from most of the classes it wasn’t as crowded as the others. Normally that was a blessing but today it only made the waiting worse! Watching the clock as another minute ticked by the long haired girl growled and stood up, feeling her patients slip further away. Today Eri had worn the boy’s uniform—or rather a version of it--only instead of blue and white the uniform was black and the yellow of the girl’s uniform, the lace frills from the girls uniform added to the jackets edges to make it more feminine. Though as she started to pace with an expression of growing annoyance she didn’t exactly look the part of a fair maiden which suited her fine. The schools regular girls uniform was a little too princess for Eri’s tastes.
“Damn…this better be good!” scowling at the note one last time Eri shoved the slip of paper in her pocket and busied herself by pacing down the rows of books. She could use the time to study for that huge science exam coming up… but the youth was far to tense to sit let alone focus on something like chemical reactions. No she needed to run or punch or hurl something heavy! To do something that would exert all that building energy! What were the odds the note was from a gang of punks looking for a show down blast out battle?! Glancing about at the books, the ornate decorations, and the wide glas windows Eri sighed. At Ouran? A negative zero seemed like kind odds.
“Useless little note writer won’t you come out? Before I huff and puff and hurl you through a window” the brunette grumbled the last part under her breath. Hands shoved in her pockets Eri continued to lazy wander down the aisle until—was that the sound of the door opening?! Perking up the sharp eyed youth shoved a set of books roughly out of the way and peered curiously toward the door through the gap in the stacks. Finally! The useless note writer had shown himself!!!
(Open to as many as the library can fit. Also feel free to be or not be the note writer XD A case of mistaken identity is always fun!)
