Ouran Academy Honor Student Program
With the arrival of honor student Haruhi Fujioka, Ouran Academy has begun to branch out and try to bring in more lower-class and middle-class students to open up opportunities for those who are bright and able but lack the wealth or social status of those currently attending. However, full scholarships are limited, but work-program scholarships are available. Here is the information on those:
Full Scholarship: Full scholarship students are given a full ride to Ouran, on the condition that they are the top of their class. Failure to remain top student will lead to cut funding and possibly removal of the scholarship if fallen below even the top five students in your grade. The second and third year student positions are new to school (transferred from another school) Current full scholarship students are:
1st Year: Haruhi Fujioka (Canon) 2nd Year: Akihiro Natsuno (Original) 3rd Year: Open
Work Program: Work program students are also given enough money to attend Ouran Academy and only have to remain within the top ten of their class instead of five. However, they are assigned to work with the staff of the school, such as in the cafeteria, gardening, teacher assistant, or other positions. As long as they work the hours given and do a satisfactory job, they can remain at Ouran. These scholarships do not have a limit, but currently only opened to 1st year students. Current work-scholarship recipients are:
-Takeshi Matsuzo
St. Lobelia’s Honor Student Program
More open to commoner’s than Ouran, St. Lobelia is willing to pay for the education of any bright and rising maiden who is excelling in any of the performing arts. As long as they retain a position in the top five ranking in their class and perform in at least one play or musical or other form of performing art, they are able to attend St. Lobelia.
