Kyouya was sitting at a chair with his booklet in his lap and his pen on the table in front of him. It had been a normal day with him with dealing with the club and school. Business within the club was running smoothly for now and his eyes were scanning for anything that could become a problem for them. He saw Tamaki has usually surrounded by a handful of girls. Then there was Honey and Mori sitting around a table with a few girls and eating cake.
His brown eyes caught the cake for a moment and he reached down and picked up the booklet and flipped to a page and glanced down at it. He picked up his pen and started to write something on one of the lower lines and then sat the pen back down. He processed to pick up his tea cup and took a drink from it as his eyes roamed the room again. His eyes fell onto the most devilish twins that he had ever met. He had to admit to himself that they had made a valuable addition to the group with girls that loved to see the two of the flirt with each other.
A small smile come to his face has he took another slip and set the cup back down before returning to his booklet. For now he saw nothing that he had to address with the members of the club and he did not have anyone to entertain for now so his information would have to do keep him amused for now. He flipped the pages a few more times before falling on a blank piece of paper and he started to write down a few more ideas that he could use to exploit money from the girls of the school. He really could not call it exploiting due to the fact that girls did get something out of this as well the guys. However, he knew they got the better hand out of things within the club.
He felt his phone go off in his pocket and slipped his hands into his pocket and saw who it was. He stood up and excused himself from the people in the room and walked out into the hallway and down the stairs. He did hate to be bothered, but right now it could not be helped. ”Yes, Father. I understand. I will not miss it.” His father was a pain sometimes, but there was nothing that he could so about it either. Just answer him and move on with his task at hand was all there was too it.
Once he was done with the phone he slipped it back into his pocket and looked back at the host club. It usually was not like him to walk off from them without a word, but he would make up to them later. He was sure that Mori and Honey would have enough sense to keep everything running smoothly. The other three he did not trust at all. He sighed to himself and slowly walked down the stairs. He had left his back in his homeroom class and he would have to grab it if he was going to squeeze any homework into the night event.

After dealing with the ladies that were visiting him, Tamaki was ready to approach Kyouya about the wonderful idea that the Host Club should make a movie. Tamaki, being, well, himself, had immediately agreed to let her be the director on it and that they should go ahead and do it. So now all he had to do was retroactively get permission from Kyouya and all would be well. After all, they were going to need money for this, but there were plenty of ways for them to cut the costs on this thing; the directory would do it for free, no need to pay actors since they would be the stars, and they already owned so many props from the club they wouldn’t need to create stages and scenes, right? Yeah, there was no way that Kyouya could reject the idea. After all, he was always complaining about the low quality of the merchandise the Host Club had; a movie would DRASTICALLY improve that, and so many special things could be done with it. Commentaries, director’s cut, extended edition, graduation edition; it could be rereleased for ages to keep making money!
However, it seemed Kyouya had stepped out of the club. Tamaki, of course, had no fears! Kyouya had obviously just stepped out of the club to take a call or something like that. Excusing himself, Tamaki headed out the door and into the hall. During this travelling, though, Tamaki’s mind got a little….side tracked. Since he was so sure Kyouya would approve the idea of the movie, Tamaki was already planning on how to work it. He, of course, would be the star, the male lead. But he needed someone to serve as the female lead if it was to be a romantic comedy. Haruhi was a girl, but the school thought her a boy. Casting her would be an odd choice, and someone could catch on….though most likely the fans would just think “he” was completely adorable dressed as a girl. Still, there had to be a way to solve the issue……
GOT IT! They could hold a raffle, sell tickets. That way, Kyouya could get more money, and all he had to do to ensure Haruhi got the female lead was to rig the raffle. Oh, but that’s dishonest…..but who ever said that Haruhi had to be the one to buy tickets? If he just bought a lot of tickets for Haruhi….yeah, that would work. Kyouya gets the money, he gets Haruhi as his lead, and all the fangirls get to have the fun and hope of possibly being with him AND get to view Haruhi as being a sensitive and secretly talented actor, thereby improving her image among them! Everybody wins! Well, Haruhi might be upset, but that was something they could deal with later.
As he grinned in his plottiness, Tamaki found himself right behind Kyouya on the stairs. Ready to get this proposal on the way, Tamaki yelled out, ”HEY, KYOUYA WAIT UP! I NEED TO DISCUSS SOMETHING WITH YOU!” [/blockquote]

Has Kyouya moved down the stairs towards his homeroom class he heard footsteps behind him. It sounded like there was only one set, but he knew well enough that it could be more than one person. He decided that it would let them pass if they wanted to since there was not much he could do about it. What he was not expecting was the person that was behind him. It was usually hard to pull Tamaki away from his hosting duties unless there was something more important to talk about it. Though, he could not think about what it was.
When someone pretty much yelled behind him Kyouya knew exactly who it was. He raised his finger to his ear slightly to stop the ringing that he was now in his ear. He stopped on the step he was on and slowly turned around to his friend. He had to admit to himself that his father just wanted him to get close to him, but he had found himself in Tamaki’s clutches. At no point did Kyouya really feel their friendship was not real since the time he nearly beat him up at his home a few years ago.
”Geez, he seems excited about something….and it can only mean trouble for me…what is he plotting now?” Kyouya held a slight smile on his face has he pulled his hand away from his ear and pushed up his glasses. ”Oh?” Kyouya said with a small hint of interest in his voice. He was just interesting to see what was so important that the King of the Host club had followed him down here. ”You left the ladies just to talk to me? Surprising that you did not call me for such a thing, though if you did that inside the walls of the club it would have told everyone what you were plotting.”
He turned around and started to walk back down the stairs and motioned for him to follow him. ”Come on Tamaki. We will discuss as go get my bag. I have a limited time to keep you talking so you better make this good and keep my interest.” He glanced around them and noticed that there was no one around them so he knew Tamaki was not going to hold back much longer in his little plan of his. He would have to wait and hear what devilish plan that he had came up with next for the club. ”You know sometimes I think you are has bad has the twins with your schemes, Suoh?” He was only teasing Tamaki with calling him by his last name since they barely used last names around each other.
After another moment or so he stopped again and looked over his shoulder again. ”Come on tell me what you are plotting so I can either accept it or crush it before it gets us to involved in this scheme.” He had crushed a few ideas that Tamaki had brought to him before and he did not mind crushing another one if that was the case. He did get a small thriller about telling his best friend the meaning of no from time to time.

Ignoring Kyouya’s apparent sensitivity to his yelling, Tamaki was quick to listen up as Kyouya began to speak. Apparently he was real interested in why he had left the ladies just sitting in the club room. Oh yeah, he was supposed to be hosting right now….oh well, this was much bigger and would make up for that little mistake. The girls would love a movie staring the Host Club, with him as the main lead of course, no question about that. And Kyouya, of course, would love the money that could bring in.
”Well Kyouya, one of the ladies had proposed an idea I had found so interesting that I had to tell you about it to ensure a speedy response to her. This short-time delay on my hosting duties will lead to some long-time gain.”
Yeah, that would work; Kyouya was always wanting him to think more long-term so that would appeal to him very well. Taking his friend’s lead, Tamaki followed him like a puppy followed his master, all excited and bubbly. He had a bit of a grin on his face, showing just how excited about this idea that was forming in his head. The time limit was of no concern for him; he was probably going to get the idea out without delay or slowing down. However, he did get a little upset when the spectacled boy said he was as bad as the twins when it came to the twins.
”What do you mean I’m as bad as those two terrible twins?! I am much more princely and gentlemanly than those devilish duplicates. I mean, they harass my poor Haruhi-chan all the time!” he replied, obviously rather tiffed about the comparison and ignorant of the fact his many actions could be considered harassing towards Haruhi. Eventually he calmed down though, with Kyouya ready for him to speak. All right, this was going to be the big moment of truth!
”Yes, the plan. All right! You are familiar with the girl Ayra Higurashi, right? Of course you are you know everything. Anyway, she has an interest in movies, and more importantly, feels that her father unfairly favors her brother over her due to their taste in movies,”
As Kyouya knew so very well about how Tamaki worked, it was obvious where this was going. Afterall…
”And as it is our job as the Host Club to ensure that every girl is happy, I promised her that I would work on seeing to it that we, the Host Club, would allow her to produce and direct her very own romantic movie!”
By now the obvious excitement in Tamaki’s voice was coming through. Now it was time for the kill; to convince Kyouya to do so with everything he could imagine.
”Before you say no, just here me out. Not only do we get the benefit of making a girl happy, the film she produces can be sold as merchandise for the club. Furthermore, she is offering to do the job for free due to her love of movies, so we don’t have to pay for a director or anything like that, and with us as the actors, we won’t have to pay for them either. Finally, I have a feeling she doesn’t care about profits or anything like that, and therefore we could possibly gain all the profits for the club!”
Yes, yes, the promise of money always intrigued Kyouya. So now for the other part of his plan.
”And for even more money, I figured out a little scheme to choose our female lead. We could hold a simple raffle, and all the ladies of the school could buy tickets for it. The winning lady wins the role as the love interest in the movie, with me as the leading main role,” he finished up with a flourish towards himself. Gazing towards Kyouya with his puppy-dog eyes, Tamaki awaited an answer.
”So, what do you think?” [/blockquote]

Kyouya raised his eyebrow slightly when Tamaki started to talk about an idea of one of the ladies of the club brought to his attention. All he needed was someone to be stepping on his toes about making a profit for the host club. He hated the idea of having to compete with someone like he did with his brothers all the time. If only Tamaki would get that through his thick skull sometimes. His eyes narrowed on his friend darkly as if he was about to bite his head off about this information.
Before the real plan got talked about Tamaki had went on acting mad about his comparison he made about him and the twins. He really could not see any difference in what they did and what he did with Haurhi, but bringing it up to him seemed to be a bad idea in general. For now he would ignore his comment about the twins and save it for a later date or time in case Tamaki decided to be annoying about something else for him. He brush off the idea with a simple smirk and a small shrug of his shoulders.
When this ‘king’ finally got to the whole point of following out here there was nothing more interesting about the request on him. To allow the club to do a movie was a simple problem in itself. They already had a few months already planned out about the hosting and now Tamaki would probably want to postpone them in order to create this fantasy for this lady. This meant that he would have to rearrange a lot of his planning that he had already taken care of and he would have to start that night in order to do it or at least by the end of the week to make sure everything was done on time. He twitched slightly at the thought and closed his eyes.
”Do you know how much this will set all my planning I have done back? Do you know how much I am going to have to do before the end of the week if I agree to do this? Do you realize all this Souh?” He was slightly annoyed at the thought of his friend or it could be he was taking his frustrations from the person on the other end of the phone call out of him. It would not be the first time he had done that. However, Kyouya kept his demeanor calm and did not sound like he raising a fit about this.
He raised his eyebrow at him and when he mention something about a raffle to find the leading role of the female. Of course he knew the leading role would go to Tamaki since why else would he even mention this little scheme to him if he could not star in it. However, he was not buying the raffle part since it was too simply of an idea for the most part. The lady that was going to be directing the movie out, but he highly doubt that Tamaki did not already come up with another idea to use the raffle to his advantage. He would just have to let his friend slip up to catch him.
Kyouya turned and started to walk back down stairs. He pushed up his glasses and started to run the numbers in his head to what he needed to cancel for this project. There was no doubt in his mind that his friend would convince him not to do it. It was just a matter of placing the heat on his friend and finding out exactly how badly he wanted to go with this idea for now. Tamaki did have a habit of dropping something at the last minute and he was trying to break that with him. ”Simple answer to this. No.”

In the midst of all his speech, Tamaki could tell that Kyouya wasn’t buying the idea. When he was finally finished with it all, he received a lecture from Kyouya about all the planning that would have to be redone if they were to do this. Was that really a big issue though? All they had done so far was schedule out themes ahead of time for the club, maybe an event or two here and there. Tamaki knew that Kyouya really loved his planning, but the guy needed to loosen up. Besides, there was more to hosting than looking pretty (although that was a big part of it) and sitting in the club room giving compliments. No, their goal was to ensure the happiness of every girl that came there way. To ensure that goal was met, he HAD to have this movie be made.
”Yes, I realize fully what would have to be done,” he said without really knowing,”But more than that, I realize that you need a reminder of what it means to be a Host. Our job goes beyond simple compliments and looking fabulous, but to actively ensure that every girl is happy!,” he pointed a finger at Kyouya,”And as a member of the Host Club, it is your duty to do so as well. There are things more important than plans Kyouya-kun!”
Epic speech aside, Tamaki knew he was going to have to appeal to something else for Kyouya to offer up his support for this. Luckily, this girl’s particular story was one that Kyouya could sympathize with. For all his talk about being only for self-interest, Tamaki was confident deep down that Kyouya was in fact a really nice guy. Even the twins, for all their evilness, were good people when you got to know them. If Kyouya thought simply telling him and walking away was going to work, than Kyouya had apparently forgotten how adamant Tamaki could be when he really wanted something.
”Kyouya, I know you can sympathize with this poor girl, suffering under the favoritism that her father has for her older brother. How unfortunate, to have your talent ignored simply because you are the younger, always having to work twice, no twenty times harder just to get a glance from your parents that your older sibling gets just for existing. Come on Kyouya, together we can show the world that talent isn’t an age based hierarchy, but one of passion and dedication!” [/blockquote]

Kyouya grinned when Tamaki started to give him a lecture to what it meant to be a part of the Host Club. Without all his planning there would not be this club to start with and he did not need Tamaki acting superior with him about it. Now it was a matter of how he was actually going to deal with him of all people in a way to shut him up about duty and such. He reached up and pushed up his glasses and stopped once he reached the door to his homeroom classroom. He opened the door and walked in.
”I do not need you to remind me about our goals, Tamaki. I am aware of them having written them down a few times for other members. You think we have only have done a few more themes booked. However, there more to planning than just that the theme like the food and plates and such. Planning ahead is what I do and you know that well.” He decided for now it was not important to go on about the movie since right now he saw that there was no way he was going to allow Tamaki to continue the idea. There would be a lot of planning on that and making sure that the Host Club was not viewed out of character on top of that. Headache was what it screamed at him.
Kyouya moved to his desk and grabbed his bag and started to pile the books he would need for his homework into it after opening the bag up. He looked at Tamaki when he started to talk about the girl and her sister and comparing it to his life with his brothers and father. His eye slightly twitched behind his glasses and glared at him. He had crossed the boundary with doing that and he was going to make him pay for it. Maybe not now, but one day he would pay for crossing over the lines and talking about his own family issue at hand.
”Let me remind you, I know my place in my family and I know what I am capable of. I have never brought my family issues to you and I expect you not to throw them back into my face like you just did. I am nothing like the girl, Tamaki.”
Kyouya placed his bag on the desk and walked over to his friend for a moment and studied him. He knew he was not going to let this idea of his die without a fight so he would give him a glance to fight for it before he actually really denied this for him. ”Tell me Tamaki tell me everything you have thought about this movie and everything including this raffle. I want to know everything that went on inside you mind.” He had a smirk on his face since he could usually tell with Tamaki was lying. It was not that hard to see him squirm and it was a little bit funny to him.

Tamaki followed Kyouya to his classroom, continuing chatting all the way. Kyouya, of course, seemed insulted about the fact that he had to remind him of the club’s mission. However, Tamaki still felt that just because Kyouya knew the word’s to the mission didn’t mean he understood the meaning behind them. Still, Kyouya’s knack for organizing and planning was not one to be ignored, and was one of the many reasons he had asked the boy to help him form a club (that, and because Kyouya was his best friend forever, whether Kyouya wanted that or not).
”Well, if you need time to plan it out, I don’t think this has to be a project we do this instant….and I’m sure the girl would need time to write out a script and everything too. I can be flexible with planning.” Tamaki responded (though to be fair, his idea of flexible was to make stuff up as you go).
As the argument continued, however, Tamaki found himself going too far. After bringing up Kyouya’s family situation, Tamaki instantly knew he had gotten way to emotional over this. He had no intentions of hurting Kyouya or bringing up his family issues; he had just wanted to help that girl with her own issues and show her father just how good of a movie person she could be. Even for how few brain cells he had, Tamaki had an overly developed sense of empathy. The moment he said his piece about Kyouya and his family, Tamaki knew that Kyouya was going to be mad about it. The eye twitch and glare that he received as a sign of that…
”I’m sorry Kyouya, I just got too caught up in the moment,” Tamaki said, enthusiasm drained and replaced by an apologetic and serious tone. Still, he wasn’t going to give up this plan just yet…but he would probably be sleeping with one eye open for a while….and get security to keep an eye on Kyouya.
”Still, I’m determined to help this girl with her movie one way or another. I just wanted you to get involved not just because of the planning, but because you’re my friend. I might have gone overboard in bringing in your family issues and I’m sorry for that, but I won’t apologize for wanting to help this girl. At least by helping us out you’ll be able to get some profit for the club.” he added, showing some real determination without that normal hint of stupidity in his voice that he normally had.
Kyouya eventually let him have a moment to explain everything that he wanted to do with this plan, and all his thoughts about it. Sure, that would be no problem, he had nothing to hide at all.
”Well, after hearing the girl’s story I was moved and wanted to help her out. Figured I should come and talk to you about it first. On the way, I developed an idea. Since we could use some extra funds, I figured that we could hold a raffle with tickets for sale for the female lead role since the club is all ‘guys’. Although, I figured we could throw in Haruhi’s name because, uhm, well, I figured the girls would go wild in seeing Haruhi ‘crossdressing and such things….” [/blockquote]

Kyouya listened to Tamaki when he mentioned the information about the movie script taking time. If the girl really wanted to do a movie of her own and she was dedicated then he had no reason to think she did not already have a script that she could tweak around with for the members of the Host Club. So he was left to consider this more than his friend’s point of view on the planning. Now he would have to play his cards right and make him see his own point of view.
”So this girl has been wanting to do a movie all this time. Do you not think that she already has a script worked out that she could tweak a bit?” He knew the club could use the money that the movie could bring in not only that he could set some aside for something he was planning himself and had not told anyone about just yet. They did not need to know what he had in store for them later down the line. ”Most people that have a desire has planned it out for years, unlike you that plans things on the go.”
Kyouya watched his friend closely when his family was brought into this mess. He did not care if Tamaki mentioned is family it was more of the line of drawing a connection between a girl he did not know and himself that pissed him off. He knew his place in his family and that was all that matter in the long run. ”You better remember next time when to draw the line when discussing something you want to do for the club. I will not be so forgiving next time.”
He listened once more has he dug a few more books out of his desk and placed them in his bag. He then pulled out his computer and slipped it in there has well and placed the bag over his shoulder. He made no comment has he considered everything his friend was saying. If he did this than it would be done by his rules and he had final say in the final production of the film. A smirk crossed his lips for a moment before it fade about Haruhi being a crossdresser in the film.
”Haruhi is already is crossdressing.” He kept his voice low when he mentioned Haruhi knowing it would not do the club good if word got out about her. ”Anyways, tell this girl to drop her script by the club when she has it finish. I will need to approve it first before any filming is underway. She will get five percent to what we make on the movie and the rest will go to the club. I will also need to approve the final production of the film before its mass produced. If she agrees to these terms perhaps you can have you little film. I will take no part in being an actor in it. Understood?” He would leave the acting to the monkeys of the club.

”Oh, well, I guess she might have one on hand she could use…..then I guess we can all practice lines until you got everything else worked out! That’ll save us time later on as we won’t have to have as many rehearsals!” Tamaki responded as Kyouya informed him of what might have been an obvious thing. Although, to be fair, the girl could probably write a new script to build up on the unique talents of the Host Club. Whatever the case, Tamaki would ensure that Kyouya would have the time he needed to get all the technical stuff worked out. He just completely ignored the statement about planning; he had gotten to the point of drowning out Kyouya’s pleas to plan ahead more often. Besides, being able to plan on the fly is just as skillful as planning ahead.
As for the issue of the family, Tamaki had made his apology and was going to be sure to not get so overexcited again to bring it up. After all, Kyouya was his best friend and did not wish for him to discuss these sort of things so…and his own family history was never used against him. If someone as practical and self-serving as Kyouya could know when to draw the line, then as King of the Host Club HE could do the same as well, both for the sake of the club and friendship.
”Don’t worry, I won’t fail you again!”
As they talked more, Kyouya was busy getting the books out of the desk and packing them away. Kyouya said nothing as he talked, and Tamaki was starting to wonder if Kyouya was talking. His response to the statement about Haruhi showed he did however; there was a smile, and it seemed actually sincere. Well, that was a rare sight.
”Yeah, I know, but as far as the girls would be concerned male Haruhi would be crossdressing as a girl so it’s all safe.”
When Kyouya said that the girl would just need to come by with the script, Tamaki’s face and eyes lit up with glee. YES, his plan was going to work, and that girl would be able to prove her worth to her father and show him just how powerful a romantic movie could be! And just as important, this would give him the chance to have Haruhi fall for him. After all, what better way to establish yourself as a father figure than spending quality time with your daughter, working together on a creative project! When all was said and done, Haruhi would love him just as she loved her own father, and his fatherly love would be reciprocated! Hopefully the romantic aspects of the movie wouldn’t be all that awkward….
”Great! I shall let her know then. Do not worry, the rest of us will be able to be to do the acting. I mean, what’s the worse than can happen?!”
Before Kyouya could explain all the various ways that the movie could go wrong, Tamaki had already hugged him and rushed off in an excited frenzy to tell the girl of the plan… [/blockquote]
