It wasn't a long car ride, but it sure was quiet. No one in the car spoke, not even the Ami had anything to say. The car dropped her off first, and Yumi was happy to be rid of her. Sure, she hadn't said two words to her today... but she just took that to mean a BIGGER complain was to come out of the girl later. Maybe at dinner. Yeah, that had to be it, so Yumi figured.
Soon they were at Ouran Academy. The car stopped. The girl laid eyes upon the school. This really would be a new experience. She had never gone to a school... so big! She had lived well with her mother, and her father always sent money, but never had she gone to a school of this size... or with so many people. She opened the car door with a squeal, and zoom! She was running.
"YEEEE!" What an unusual sight. It had to be. Too bad she ended up tripping and falling flat on her face before she could get very far. Oh boy...
Oh yes, that had been the highlight of her day so far. Her very first day in fact. Not that it really bothered her. She expected that of herself. She even expected the looks, and the few snerks that people gave as they passed by. Maybe she shouldn't have run... that had just been stupid. And she knew it all too well. The move and transfer from America to Japan and Ouran hadn't been something she wanted. But she had to make the best of it. Or at least, that's what she figured as she stood at the end of class. The room started to empty. Girls were muttering in rushed giggles. Where were they all going now? Classes were done for the day... right?
Yumi tilted her head to the side. What were they talking about? She couldn't quite make it out, but whatever it was... it must've been popular.

Hikaru leaned forward, resting his chin against the palm of his hands, trying hard to pay attention to what the teacher was saying. But it was just so hard. He was so bored- and clearly wasn't interested in leaning.. oh god- what were they learning? His orbs shifted from the front over to the notes that Karou was taking next to him, his eyes reading the crisp handwriting absently, looking as inconspicuous as possible. Oh right- was that what they were doing? Honestly the letters jumbled together into a mess, rattling around in his brain before slipping right out through the other ear. It didn't matter- he could get the notes from Karou, he did fairly well in the class. And to be frank, probably he would have done well if he had even bothered to listen- but the teacher's droning voice- he couldn't help but let his thoughts trail off as he turned to look out the window, one hand tapping against the surface of the desk lightly.
Feeling his brother nudge him, he straightened up slightly and looked up at the clock, scowling at the hands as they ticked by. It had turned from mocking to just slow torture. Beside him, he could tell that his twin seemed to be just as exasperated as he was (or maybe not as much). Nevertheless, two minutes before class was over, he was fidgiting, leaning back against the chair, one arm slinging over the back of the chair as he crossed his legs, tilting his head to the side and watching the doodles of his twin.
His eyes glazed slowly unfocused, and what seemed like another two hours, his brother was shaking his shoulders, a frown creasing the younger twin's face as he stared at Hikaru in the eyes, saying words that was slipping past him. Fallen asleep? Was class that boring for me? he idly thought, getting up and waving off his twin with a promise that he would meet him in the library to study once he gather's up his things. He rose to his feet, sighing slightly as he picked up his bag, simply stuffing his things into it. Chatter slowly faded as the students filed out of the classroom, and distinctly, he could hear someone coming in.
Looking up, he held the handle, the bag draping over his back. He stuffed his hand in his pocket and moved away from his seat, pushing in his chair. His eyes moved over the girl lazily, slowly sizing her up as he moved to pass her. Oh wait- wasn't she that new girl who didn't show in class? What was her name? Yuri? Ye-? Yumi! Right?
'I assume you're.. Yumi?' he quirked another lazy brow as he spoke to her, stopping in front of her casually, his posture slacking, but in a sense sophisticated (he always looked like so). 'Class ended already, though if you're lost, I can always assist and show you around' he continued, fixing her a light, flirty smile.

Yumi blinked a few times as she finally was able to slip into the classroom. So the class really WAS over. She suspected as much, having gotten lost and accidentaly skipped it. The school was just so BIG, and she didn't have a map--or anything of the sort. Her last school was way smaller than this one. She wouldn't get into too much trouble, right? Her excuse wasn't a lie. Besides, getting lost had been a little fun. She got to learn where a few other rooms where, and probably wouldn't forget. A small smile took form on her face, however, as curious eyes began to search the seemingly empty room. She didn't notice that there was one person left. How was Suichi fairing? He was a grade higher, so she didn't really see him at all today...
She was interested, that was for sure. It was obvious by the expression on her face. So that's what this room looks like... what class is this, again? Yumi bit down on her lip, trying to think. Which one was it?! Math? Or was it a language course? Just where did she put the peice of paper that told her which class this was? Darn it. The girl was snapped from her train of thoughts by a voice...
"Hm? Hah? Yeah..."Confused green eyes looked up to the taller person. "Oh, hi! I didn't notice you!" She exclaimed with a sweatdrop. She must've spaced out and just didn't realize someone had stayed behind. A grin replaced her confused look."That'd be great! Thanks! Um... who are you?"

At her words, Hikaru allowed a grin to cast over his features, making his face a little more... mischievous in a way. Obviously this girl was new to this school, if not new to Japan- what girl in the entire school didn't know who he was? Okay- wrong way to ask that, of course no one know who he was, but they knew he was one of the Hitachiin twins, be it Hikaru or Karou was the problem- one of the reasons why he always played the infamous 'which one is Hikaru game', because they never get it right. Even if they never had visited the Host Club nor requested him, other girls would gladly inform them of who he was and what he was known for.
But that's not the point. The point was, she was new. And with a mocking (comical) bow, Hikaru gently took her hand and moved it to his lips before speaking as he straightened. 'So you are,' he observed with a twist of his lips. If he had remembered correctly, he had her in his next class- or maybe it was the class after that. But they had time to explore the building- they had five minutes to spare- and his class (assuming she was in the same one) wasn't that far off. 'I'm Hikaru Hitachiin,' he said, straightening himself in a boastful manner. Sliding one hand into his pocket.
Looking out the door he hesitated- he was supposed to meet Karou as soon as he got his things together, should he just leave her in someone else's more-capable hands? Or should he escort her around himself? A flicker of worry passed his eyes before he fished out his cell and send a text to his twin. helping the new girl, be there soon,- it promised.
With a nod, he raised his hands out, letting her exit first before he did. 'Well, this was math class,' he started, following her out the door, talking about the classes they taught and the teachers that seem to have a personal vendetta against him (he was, after all, considered the devil type).
[ooc- sorry, its so horrid. i'm a little tired]

//ooc: It's okay Sorry for this. My brain is not working today *shot*// Yumi watched him with her usual curious eyes. The girl recognized him from somewhere. She recalled seeing him walking down the hall earlier that day. Though she only caught a quick glimpse of him, his hair color was what made him stand out to her. What she didn't know, however, was that she might've been seen Kaoru instead of Hikaru. Little did she know there were twins, and not just one person.
Her attention quickly snapped back to the boy. He was... bowing? And taking her hand. Why? She just figured he was just being polite... though something felt off. Just a little. Yet, that could've just been her. She was, afterall, raised in America, not Japan. She just never run into someone who'd taken her hand before. Her grin turned into a small smile as he introduced himself. "Hika... ru... Hitachiin..." She repeated with a small nod, letting the name sit on her tongue. The name sounded familar--she knew she heard it somewhere. Just where exactly. Biting down on her lip, the girl proceeded to rack through her brain.
It must've been one of the names some girls were sputtering earlier. It was mentioned with another name, though that one seemed to slip her mind all too easily. She looked back up, raising an eyebrow. "Something wrong?" She asked as she caught the quick look of worry. Without anything else to say, Yumi exited the room first. Math class? That was it!
She hit her fist into the palm of her other hand as she suddenly remembered some of the list. Well, she remembered the top of the list. Just what came after Math... she sweatdropped at herself. Why did she have to be so scatterbrained?
"Why wouldn't teachers like you? How long have you been here? Do you know a lot of people?" Uh oh... here came the wave of never ending questions.
