Appearance:

Kyouya stands five feet and eleven inches tall and weighs about one hundred and forty-two pounds. Despite his side he is rather slender for his age and he has narrow shoulders. He has long hands with slender fingers that he is constantly using to push up his glasses on his face. He has long legs to go with his long arms. His skin color is a very light tan.

Kyouya’s chin is straight and narrow, but rounds out just a bit at the chin itself. He has short black hair that is straight in the back, but his bangs are parted towards the right side. His are usually longer than the rest of his hair. He wears glasses to correct his vision preferring them over contacts. His glasses are silver and rimless. He has brown eyes and he usually wears an all knowing smile on his face or simply shows no emotions unless he his being spoke to.

He wears the typical male high price male Ouran Academy uniform. The jacket of the uniform is a light blue with the crest being on the left side. The jacket is always button up and shows the top part of his collar. He wears the normal black pants and shoes associated with the uniform. When he has to dress up he usually wears outfits that cover him up instead of showing himself off. When he is not in school Kyouya tends to dress in darker color clothing. He likes to wears jeans and a designer shirt. This sort of look allows him to pull off a casual look.

Personality:

Kyouya being the vice-president of the Host Club is collecting information everything that the club does and always taking notes on everything he sees. He is not above selling off things such as pictures or items of his fellow Hosts in the club. He tends to see this has a good benefit because it allows the money to be brought into the club so the others do not need to worry about the spending. He also has many connections in a various companies that he orders from.

He loves to gather information and keep it for himself until he sees something that would benefit him in telling the information. Sometimes he keeps information from the Prince in order to toy with him and explain later that it was not important at the time. Occasionally he allows simple things slip in order to test his friends and see who they would react with the given facts.

Most of the time he comes off detached from other as if there was a barrier between him and other people. This barrier allows him to gather the information he needs, but it also protect him from slipping up and releasing any information about the club or even himself. He does not do anything without it benefitting him in some way in any transaction he does.

Kyouya wants nothing more in life to become the heir to his father’s company. Even though his brothers have accomplished at lot before him he sees this has a game like they use to play when they were younger. He dislikes the fact that his oldest brother is named heir many because he is the first son born and wishes to change that fate of future by surpassing him and gaining his father’s approval. He will do anything in reason to accomplish this task of head of him and he loves doing it.

In situations that demands attention Kyouya is usually the calm one and walking behind the rest of the club and does not seem to want to partake in manual activities such as running or showing an athletic ability. He would rather watch from the side lines and watch people in order to study their patterns later. He is usually seen writing something in his booklet or working on his computer.

His friends in the Host Club have become more of his family than his real one. Even though he rarely shows his true emotions towards them he would do anything for them if they really need it. There are a few times where he helps someone out without gaining anything that would benefit him. These moments are rare and in between. He is seen as the cool type in the club and it is a part that he soaks up with the girls. He rarely shows his emotions towards anyone.

There are times where Kyouya lacks control of his annoyance with his friends and other around him. He can come off threatening with his words to prove he means business. Due to a medical reason he tends to have low blood pressure making him extremely hard to wake up in the morning. When he is woken up by people he is grouchy and wants to be left alone.

History:

Kyouya Ootori was born to Yoshio Ootori and his wife on November 22^nd. He has an older sister and two older brothers. During his childhood he was always in his brothers’ shadows and his father encourage competition among the three brothers in order to draw out their natural abilities. His mother sat on the side lines and watched her sons compete in grades in other social status areas.

His older sister started to give him more attention just after him reaching middle school. He noticed that she started to cook and try her hand at housework only to fail in general. During this time the three brothers started to play games among them that dealt with competition between them. Soon it was clear to Kyouya that his brother Yuuichi was his main completion. His brother Akito seemed to lack the drive for many of their games. Kyouya started to turn his ideas of out witting Yuuichi day by day until his brother came up to him and told him that the next game among them would be the last he would play.

Kyouya accepted this fate of the last game and Yuuichi got their father to decide the game between the three of them. This time he was face with the most challenging of games he had ever had before. His father placed each of the brothers in different one of their company resource and assigned them a small task force of employees and told them whoever was given the best evaluation from the employees that were based on their leadership and other areas of running a business would be the winner. At the end of the game Kyouya came up short in winning and his father made sure to point out his failure in front of his brothers.

Just shortly after this competition he met none other than Tamaki Suoh at school. Over the next few years in middle school they became friends and just before starting high school Tamaki suggested that they start a club together. At first he was against the idea because it would not benefit him at all until his father lied down scheme of being name heir to the family company.

During one company business parties Yoshio showed off his three sons to the company employees and other promising members of other business. Kyouya was just walking around when a couple of voices caught his attention and he walked slowly towards them and found his mother and father discussing how he would not become heir due to being the third son. However, the following day his father summoned the brothers to his office and told Kyouya in order to win flavor in his eyes that he would have to do something that his brothers did not. Now was not the time to hide behind shadows for him.

After a week he went to Tamaki and decided to work out the outline of this club. Soon they started to gather members including two twins, and a pair of cousins that would host to girls of the school that had too much free time. Kyouya became the vice-president and kept up with all the money something he found that he was good at and started to enjoy in a way. He would never admit that to any of the other club members, but this gave him something that his brothers had not accomplished.

Kyouya was sitting at a chair with his booklet in his lap and his pen on the table in front of him. It had been a normal day with him with dealing with the club and school. Business within the club was running smoothly for now and his eyes were scanning for anything that could become a problem for them. He saw Tamaki has usually surrounded by a handful of girls. Then there was Honey and Mori sitting around a table with a few girls and eating cake.

His brown eyes caught the cake for a moment and he reached down and picked up the booklet and flipped to a page and glanced down at it. He picked up his pen and started to write something on one of the lower lines and then sat the pen back down. He processed to pick up his tea cup and took a drink from it as his eyes roamed the room again. His eyes fell onto the most devilish twins that he had ever met. He had to admit to himself that they had made a valuable addition to the group with girls that loved to see the two of the flirt with each other.

A small smile come to his face has he took another slip and set the cup back down before returning to his booklet. For now he saw nothing that he had to address with the members of the club and he did not have anyone to entertain for now so his information would have to do keep him amused for now. He flipped the pages a few more times before falling on a blank piece of paper and he started to write down a few more ideas that he could use to exploit money from the girls of the school. He really could not call it exploiting due to the fact that girls did get something out of this as well the guys. However, he knew they got the better hand out of things within the club.
