::Eri Kokoro::
Type: Original
Age:16
Gender:Female
Sexuality:Predominantly Heterosexual
Crushes: None at the moment
Face Claim: Ryōko Ōkami of Okami-san and her Seven Companions
Appearance:Trouble. That’s the first impression people usually get from looking at Eri Kokoro. The slim girl stands an impressive 5’9” and that’s without the help of her footwear, which usually add an extra two inches. Her weight fluctuates a little but is generally about 135 pounds. Years of athletics and training have assured that’s she’s strong and fit but her frame has a natural leanness to it and Eri has the physique of a swimmers rather than a bodybuilder. Now normally Eri wouldn’t mind…but she’s particularly slim in a rather… important are… her shamefully flat chest is a point of great irritation to the delinquent. Though for the record she’d sooner punch you in the face than have a heartfelt conversation about her body issues.
With very sharp dark brown eyes and a slight scowl that almost rarely seems to leave her face at best Eri can be described as “unapproachable” and at worst “downright scary”. It’s not unusual for her to have some new scrap or cut; and bandages adorn her limbs the way other girls would wear jewelry. Adding to her delinquent looking appearance Eri likes long skirts and has modified several of her school uniforms. She dislikes anything that’s confining and is just as quick to wear a mix of a PE or boys uniform as she it to wear the usual girl’s uniform. Altering her uniform is a weekly activity. In fact even the long dress of the Ouran uniform is more often altered, dyed, and mix matched than worn normal.
However Eri isn’t entirely a tomboy in appearance. Her light brown hair is kept long with bangs and much fringe that surrounds her face. It reaches down past her butt at the longest point. The thick mass is usually tied near the end though when working out it’s not unusual for Eri to pull her hair back in a high ponytail with a bow. She loves the color red and jackets wearing them both often. When not in school she likes long skirts or jeans and has occasionally worn her old modified high school uniforms. High heels and clothing/jewelry that make a lot of noise annoy Eri and she won’t wear them without a fight.
Personality:Eri is a tough and independent girl. She’s used to being judged as a “stupid delinquent” and is very familiar with being feared, the odd man out, and the teacher’s least favorite student. She’s even aware that she’s responsible for that reputation having run with gangs in her younger days…not to mention her habit of getting into fights and running her mouth don’t do her any favors. Her temper is fairly volatile and her tongue is sharp. But it would be a mistake to brush the brunette off as just another dumb punk.
For one thing Eri works hard. She’s not naturally gifted at academics but studies often and intensely. Granted she’s a solid B student but that’s never kept her from diving in with the goal of A A A! At athletics she’s much better and even more enthusiastic. For Eri running and swimming are a pleasure and stress relief; she takes training seriously and will continue to practice long after everyone else has gone home. Between her insane training and studying schedule as well as her habit of scaring people off Eri doesn’t have much of a social life beyond track team and photography club.
Yes, photography club. Eri is actually a rather artsy girl she can sew and loves to take pictures. And her final but easily most important hobby is? Eri likes to make money. By chance and good luck she’s found that while few girls at Ouran want to be her friend a generous portion could use her help…whether it’s getting pictures of a cheating boyfriend or confronting a stalker Eri isn’t above using her camera and/or fists to earn a little side cash. Of course it’s a career choice that hasn’t done much to help her reputation.
The truth is that while she can be rough around the edges and has a quick temper Eri is fairly lonely. Her rude nature can be best described as a defense. The girl isn’t stupid and knows a good number of people who try to befriend her are doing it for the wrong reasons. It doesn’t help that due to her work she keeps tabs on a lot of people and is fairly well versed in who’s whom and why they are doing what. The few that don’t let her temper and standoffish attitude scare them off are rewarded by a fiercely loyal friend. Eri loves training, meat, and taking pictures. She hates depending on anyone--least of all men-- for anything, fairy tales, and celery. Ghost stories terrify her, though she tries to put up a brave face even when she's scared.
History:Eri is the only child of Taka and Yuri Kokoro. Her father was a only son who’d inherited a small but growing shipping business. Her mother was the 6th daughter of a real estate tycoon. Yuri married for love Taka for connections and it wasn’t long after their marriage that Eri was born and the honeymoon was over. Yuri was a lonely sickly woman and as her husband became more and more distant she clung to her daughter for affection and attention. It meant Eri was spoiled yet smothered from a young age allowed all the access her mother could afford to give her. Only when Eri turned 10 that fortune shrunk considerably. Yuris fathers business went under and soon after Taka divorced his wife.
It was only through family friends that Yuri and Eri were kept off the street. Losing her husband, her wealth, her dream very nearly crushed Yuri who withdrew from the world. Eri in contrast lashed out and quickly found kindred spirits in a local gang of girls. Eventually her after school fights and antics grew so bad that she was kicked out of school and in an act of desperation her mother moved them to another friend but it was the same story all over again. Eri was 13 by the time her mother truly “woke up” and pulled their family together. She got in a huge fight with her daughter-resulting in Eri running away and Yuko realizing she was allowing her family to fall apart. Three days later Eri came home and they moved again, this time into an apartment of their own. It was small. And to say Yuko adjusted well to living as a working class woman would be a stretch but she and Eri both agreed to try again. It was that time that Eri got involved in school sports. She took instantly to track and while the girl didn’t entirely abandon her troublesome friends she did find a new love in sports.
Eri was fifteen when she found an old camera and when the next day a girl at her school was confiding to friends about being willing to do anything to find out if her boyfriend was cheating…well an idea clicked. For a small fee Eri found out--he was. And when the next week a girl asked if she could find out more about a boy she had a crush on…well Eri could do that too--for a fee. And so Eri’s unofficial after school job began. It was a promising start to the year.
And then her mom got remarried. He was an old childhood friend who was oozing rich and the 2nd son of some technology company. He was rich, he made her mom happy, and he didn’t try to play daddy dearest. Eri and the man agreed to tolerate each other. Of course that peace treaty very nearly fell apart when her mother announced they would be moving and she—SHE--would be sent to Ouran Academy. To say the girl wasn’t thrilled would be an understatement…but they had an amazing sports team and when her mom looked at her with big pleading puppy eyes the scowling teen was forced to consent.

Sighing Eri leaned back in her chair and popped the rest of the carrot stick into her mouth. She was craving a steak. Nice and rare with plenty of pink. Ever since her mother had gone on some crazy health binge last week all meat and sugar had disappeared from the house. Worse when Eri had actually sucked up and spent her hard earned money on some filet mignon for lunch her sire had been standing at the door when she’d come home, looking like a kicked puppy. She’d KNOWN. How the hell had she known?! In any case Eri had hung her head and promised the sulking teary eyed woman that she would try and support the new diet--if only because Eri was betting her mother would find a new distraction before the week was up. She HOPED she did! Any more of this crappy health nutter junk and she’d go crazy!
“E-Excuse me…” turning her dark glare from the ceiling Eri glanced over to see a short nervous looking girl flanked by two of her equally nervous looking friends. Already vaguely aware what was coming next Eri allowed her chair to clatter forward and fixed her attention on the trio which oddly enough made them flinch more.
“Yeah?”
“I…ah…I heard…I heard you’d d-do things…for money-“ the deepening scowl on Eri’s face most have altered the girl how THAT sounded because suddenly her hands were up in defense and she was about a hair from looking like she was going to feint. “N-n-not like that! I don’t mean that! I just want you to take pictures of a boy for me! Please I’m sorry!” the girl finished in what was close to a wail. One friend immediately set to comforting the little creature while the other glared at Eri. She hadn’t done anything! It wasn’t her fault the paper spine girl was so flighty. Eri stared at the group blankly. She DID need some more side cash. Asking That Man for money always felt rather odd.
“Sure thing small stuff. Boyfriend trouble?” The question which usually prompted teary confessions of love trouble of some kind was instead met with a fierce blush and head shaking.
“N-No he’s not the sort to do that!” and a little reluctantly “And…he’s not my boyfriend…” Eri arched an eyebrow but waited for the girl to go on. She wasn’t about to be a paid stalker! Not for a normal fee anyway. After a nervous twitch or so the girl went on. “I want you to take pictures of Ootori-kun for me! He’s so handsome a-and-“
“Ootori…” rubbing her chin Eri tried to recall why the same sounded a bit familiar. The fact that she didn’t instantly recognize it however was met with shocked and horrified looks on her companion’s faces. She snapped her fingers suddenly. “Ah that Host club guy right? But don’t they already sell pictures?”
“B-But everyone has those! I-we want special pictures! J-just for us!” this time the little spokesmen’s words were met with collective nods from the other two girls. Eri rolled her eyes and was about to send the trio off when her stomach rumbled. The girls jumped but Eri grinned and leaned forward, causing them to lean back nervously. She could use some extra cash. How hard could it be to get unique pictures of some silly play boy host? No job could be easier!
“All right ladies…so what would three one of a kind photos be worth to you?”
