Appearance:

Standing at 179cm, Vince is a little bit taller than the average American grown man. As he is the kind of person that usually goes out to practice sports and dancing, his build is pretty much fit and his weight is of 64 kilograms. Other than the aforementioned height & weight statistics, Vince McDowell is not handsome to the point of being shown as a pretty boy, and has his own sense of style. To be short, he looks quite average when it comes to prettiness. He has blond hair (with hair antennae) and brown eyes and the upper part of his face is covered by a red headband. He also has his ears pierced, with two earrings on the side of each one. He doesn't look like the typical rich boy, even if he is one.

Vince usually wears the typical Ouran school uniform when he is attending at said place. The only thing that will differentiate him from the others is that he always leave his blue vest open, exposing the shirt that comes with the uniform he wears under it. He doesn't wear the tie. To complete the uniform, he wears black pants. Otherwise, when he gets casual Vince wears a beige vest with either a tank-top or a T-shirt instead, along with brown pants and a necklace consisting of a pair of handcuffs for style.

Personality:

Vince's personality pretty much fits with his usual informal appearance. If there was one thing that people noted after meeting him, it would probably be related to the fact that Vince McDowell is an incredibly carefree person. He lives life as it is now, and is not one to dwell on past mistakes and actions, whether they are good or not. Not that he a hyperactive person, but Vince is the kind of person that is very often in movement; he prefers to run and do sports than staying around on a seat all the time drinking tea. He actually prefers coffee.

Having lived as an entertainer along with his family before they suddenly went filthy rich due to pure luck, Vince knows how to attract people and how to entertain them. He knows how to play the guitar and the piano, he knows how to do gymnastics along with many kinds of dancing and other arts like juggling. It should be, however, noted that his specialty lies in the art of music and dancing, something that his parents do no share. Vince loves music; he likes it a lot to the point of him playing instruments every chance he gets. Since he was also raised in a normal lower-middle classed family until the age of thirteen, he also knows a lot more about the "Commoner World" than most of the other students that attend Ouran.

He is pretty cool with life, and is not one to take it seriously. Unlike some people who act haughty and prideful, Vince is extremely laid-back; he is constantly relaxed and easy-going and prefers to go at his own pace instead of hurrying things up. He enjoys company as much as one enjoys a good night of sleep or a bath, and is always looking for good and casual conversations with people whether they are nice or not.

Due to his family's sudden change in life, passing from the lower-middle class to high class in a matter of days, Vince developed a certain dislike for selfish aristocrats, and especially his parents. The reason of this dislike is because of his parents who suddenly went from nice entertainers who had no need for money into selfish gold-diggers who tried to push him into that new way of living in the case of both parents, which was quite bothering him. The way he dresses is pretty much on of his only reminders of his old life, and it won't be easy to get him out of this.

With a cheerful disposition, Vince is capable of raising the morale of whoever needs it. If there is one thing that Vince loves doing along with interacting with people is that. He doesn't like it when someone is acting all mopy because of something, and will do a lot of things for said someone so he or she could cheer up and smile again, especially if they're a friend. He is an approachable person, which is something positive in the book of a lot of people. He is also prone to saying random things related to the situation when nervous, stressed, or when he just feels like it.

History:

First of all, it should be mentioned that Vince's life was not always one of a rich boy in a rich family. During the first decade of his life, he lived with his parents as entertainers in America. Everywhere they went, they would play music, dance or even do gymnastics and things only a circus person would do. They also did stand-up comedy, but that's just a detail. They were not rich, nor were they poor; the family didn't care much about money and all they wanted was to make people smile and entertain them. You can say that this was the best years Vince has ever had, as he grew up in the world of entertainment.

It all changed when Lady Luck came on Vince's father's side, when he suddenly found a lottery ticket; it was a winning one when he decided to test it out. Because of this "luck", Vince McDowell's family passed from lower-middle class to high class, which was quite the change in a thirteen year old boy's life. At the beginning, the family was extremely happy, they bought everything they needed and it was all good.

That is until the need for money escalated to the point of his parents becoming complete gold-diggers, taking money every chance they get. They even started a company. Vince was shocked by this sudden change; he didn't like the fact that his parents transformed from entertainers with no care for money to those things. His parents pushed him forward to being the one who would bring more money to the family. He didn't want that; he only wanted to live a normal life like he did before the age of thirteen.

He was later on sent to Ouran so he could study to become a "great person like his parents currently are", which is a huge lie in his very own book. He decided to act differently than the others and attract attention to himself like he did back at that time. He is not popular with people, but he is also not hated; he lived the way he always wanted to live, but in a world of richboys and richgirls.

Why did he decide to go to a casino already? Especially on a Tuesday morn- Oh right. It might be because it was Tuesday that he went to such a place; the third day of the week was always considered lucky among his family. Sure, it might be a simple (and extremely troublesome) superstition, but for a superstition it sure was a fulfilling one. The family’s history began on a Tuesday, the founder was born under a Tuesday and if we follow that trail it might lead to another lucky Tuesday. That might be why even someone like Zack decided to test his luck, even if it was around eight in the morning.

Following the same schedule as every morning, which basically meant waking up at six, taking a shower, having breakfast and dressing up like some businessman who just got out of a one-night stand, Zack headed downtown to get out of the monotony he lived since he arrived in Lucca. Let’s not go into background details about how he is sent there to observe the war, okay? Repeating that is redundant.

If you ever ask a Smith how he or she feels about Tuesdays, your answer will probably be: “This is the luckiest day of the week.” For some reason, it is true; Tuesday is the luckiest day for a Smith and it is proven right. Lady Luck was Zack’s side this morning, letting him win pretty much every game on every table he sat on with a few exceptions. Of course, as he was a man with common sense, Zack never bet more than a fixed number, which was a very low one.

He was currently sitting at one of the tables playing Texas Hold ‘Em, a game of poker he liked to play once in a while. The game itself was pretty simple, and actually relied on skill instead of luck. Keeping a bored look on his face, the redheaded enforcer merely played along with a couple of other players, with one of them dressed like some fashion slave of some sort. It also seemed that said person was trying her best to keep a stoic face, and he had to admit that she succeeded a lot. Indeed, unlike the other players who showed quite the emotions on their face that one was hard to read even if she, according to some of her hands during the game, was quite unlucky. She also looked like that one woman who, with some large man, held up some drug dealer earlier. Narrowing his eyes and replacing the goggles on his forehead at said fashion slave, the redhead realized that she was, indeed, that woman.

Some of his hands were winners, some hands were losers; all Zack knew was that he was not among those troublesome losers who kept betting higher and higher. He kept betting the same amount of money, whenever he had a good or a bad hand. He looked at his hand, which promptly gave him one of his cocky smirks. Straight. Not too shabby. Everyone else had folded with the exception of Miss Fashion Slave. The redhead swore that he saw a glint of near-excitement in her eyes, showing confidence.

She moved a hundred dollars into the center of the table. It was quite the bold move, for someone who lost so often at a game of cards. Did she have a better hand than him? Ugh. Troublesome. It didn’t help that she had that smile; one that obviously promised murder with all that fake emotion she had. Something was not right... Should he just go ahead and do the same as she did? Or should he fold not to receive that promise? He sighed.

“Troublesome. All right, I fold.”

He decided to fold and let that girl win with, apparently, just a single pair. He chided himself for falling for such a trick as he followed her movements, watching her take around six hundred dollars. His bored eyes still followed her figure as she nodded out and left the table. He wasted for a few seconds before getting up from the table and taking his winnings with him.

“I’m also out. Thanks for the game.”

For a Tuesday, he didn’t win that much. Sure, it was quite the decent amount, but it was not the kind of amount he remembered his father bring back home. He patted his right pants’ pocket to feel his good luck charm; a mirror shard of some sort was residing there for years now. You did your best. You still failed anyway- Ow! Apparently this mirror shard was not round enough and decided to take its revenge against Zack’s complaining, scratching his finger a little. Annoying mirrors... I should take care of those edges tonight. So...

What now?

With this question in mind, Zack followed Miss Fashion Slave for some reason. Maybe it was to congratulate her for her winnings? From the looks of it, Miss Fashion Slave was following some extremely tall and, from the looks of it, extremely fit man. So she has a bodyguard. The real reason he followed the girl was, in fact, because she was coincidentally heading to where his bike was. Unfortunately, Zack parked his bike very far away from the casino, meaning that from a certain point of view he might look like a stalker. He put a cigarette to his lips in thought, lighting it unconsciously. Maybe I'll congratulate her on the way then.

With that thought he accelerated a little from his slow pace.
