::Ayra Higurashi::
Type: Original
Age:17
Gender:Female
Sexuality:Heterosexual
Crushes:Tamaki (Purely Host-love)
Face Claim:N/A
Appearance:Ayra isn't the most beautiful woman, but she certainly isn't plain. She's pretty tall for her age (justified in that her parents were both very tall), and her black hair is often seen in two long, ringlet-style pigtails that reach down to her waist, and her bangs are long enough to put behind her ears and reach her chest. When working, writing, or painting, she keeps her bangs out of her face with either her favorite white flowered hat, or with a pair of cute white berets.
Ayra is pretty slim, with a small torso and long legs and arms, though her hands are oddly-small for her build. Her preferred style of clothing is western, with black button-up cotton shirts and tan or black slacks that show off her non-existent hips and long-as-hell legs. She's also fairly well-endowed, if one catches my drift. Up to that point, Ayra blends in with the crowd. But the one thing that really makes her stand out are her eyes, almond in shape, which are a onyx color, though when she's in the right light her eyes almost look violet.
Ayra wears the standard school uniform, but when she's back home she spends her time in plain outfits or just walks the house in her long, white nightshirt.
Personality:Ayra is a friendly, ready-to-meet-people kind of girl, despite her somewhat darker appearance. She has a good, sunny disposition and talks to people right off the bat, making conversation easily and making people laugh with her jokes. Though if one really wants to befriend her it might take some effort, for despite her outward friendliness, Ayra is an introvert at heart and tries to keep people from getting too close to her. It’s just the way she is.
Ayra is bad at saying goodbye to friends and tries to avoid it as much as possible. But should one take the time to break her shell, Arya is a dear person and a reliable friend, keeping any secret and defending her friends like they were family. Due to recent events at home, however, she does not like to talk about her family life and tries to keep this cheerful side of her and the more somber side she shows at home very, very separate.
She paints all the time, sings whenever she happens to be walking alone at night, and is over-all an artistic, fun-seeking girl with a bright smile and a warm heart. When she's not socializing (and trying to keep a distance at the same time) or out hanging around her father’s office, she can be found typing up some random story in the dining hall or library, or in the Host Club, fawning over her white prince, Tamaki Suoh(who else?).
History:The Higurashi family is, surprisingly, one of the poorer families to attend Ouran. And by poorer, I do not mean commoner status, not at all. But unlike some families with two mansions and yachts and hundreds of butlers and maids, they live a more modest life. This might have something to do with the fact that the Higurashi’s have four children, including three very-spoiled girls and one rebellious big brother. Ayra is a middle child, stuck between her two older siblings, Aione and Sori, and her little sister Motoko. Her father, Tobi, is a TV producer, and her mother, Violet, is a German actress.
Guess how they met.
Life in the Higurashi house is fairly standard. Sori is following his father's footsteps while Motoko dreams of being on stage like her mother. Ayra also flounces between the two professions, always wondering whether to be behind the scenes of in the limelight. Aione always was the oddball, wanting to direct, but it was film all the same. All the children rarely saw their mother because of her job. But things steadily changed for Ayra, then twelve years old, when her beautiful mother decided to quit her life as a star and settle for a more peaceful life with the kids.
With half, or more, of their income gone, things started to shift. Ayra was about fourteen when the mansion in the States was sold, and a year latter when the one in Berlin was as well. Sori wasn't too phased, and neither was Aione, but Motoko and Ayra felt angry at their mother. She'd been so popular and beautiful and wondrous on screen, on stage, on anything...and she'd thrown it all away. Up until her first year at Ouran, about a year ago, Ayra didn't speak to her mom. She stayed around her father and kept away from home whenever she could. It was a smooth plan.
And then her father told her the truth.
It was the real reason she had quit. Violet had been very sick for a long time, and had to stop acting to get help. Ayra suddenly remembered all the times her mother had gone out to visit 'friends'. Those had been trips to the hospital. The mansions hadn't been sold due to financial issues, but to help pay for treatment. Ayra felt awful for her behavior. That night she went home instead of going to a friends house and, for the first time in almost five years, cried to her. Violet is recovering, but it's taking time.
Of course, this did affect her school life. Worrying about her mother, Ayra began to space a little in her classes. She really could use some fun, something to make life a little more interesting in a good way. This is the sole reason she first followed her classmates to the Host Club. At first it seemed very strange to Ayra. It wasn't a club...it was too surreal and too magical, in a sense. It was like a movie! Immediately Ayra was hooked on the imagination of the hosts and most of all their 'king'. Tamaki was the brightest bulb out of all of them (in imagination if not brains). Thus the hook to the club was in place. Ayra loves to visit the club now, if only because of its bright colors and playful cast...but it's probably just because she can have Tamaki treating her like a princess. And who doesn't like that?Controller's Information
