::Sophia Marie Rene St.Cloud Richard::
Type: She is an original character.
Age: She is seventeen years old.
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Crushes: None
Face Claim: Kaori Senoo from Saki
Appearance:Sophia has long, blond wavy hair, that is usually kept up in a delicate, high, side ponytail. Her slight waves bounce whenever she moves her head or does any physical activity. Her bangs are cut straight across her forehead and is the only part of her hair that ever gives her problems, as they can't decide how they want to look from day to day. Her hair color is the exact golden shade her mother has, although it looks paler in the sun.
Sophia's face is a perfect heart. Her smooth, clear skin is a warm shade of ivory. Her eyes will generally vary in color from a dark, deep gray to a particularly attractive hue of navy blue. They are wide, aware and observant. When she uncovers secrets, something she has a knack for, you can see the sparkle of understanding flash in her angel's eyes. The bridge of her nose is straight and narrow, coming to a cute, small button for the tip. Her cheeks aren't very high, but are however, lovely and plump when she smiles. Her beautiful cupid's bow mouth always gives the impression of a smile. Because of that, her eyes are the only window as to her true feelings, but even then are they difficult to see through.
Sophia stands at around five feet-four inches tall, and weighs approximately 125 pounds. She has a slender waist, normal chest, a flat stomach, a small butt and long, graceful legs. She has average sized feet, with large arches, perfect for ballet, her favorite sport. She has dainty hands, but slightly longer than average arms, also perfect for ballet and playing the instrument that keeps her connected to her father, the harp.
When Sophia is in school, she wears the sunshine yellow, poofy dress with the long sleeves and pure white cuffs and collar, the plain skirt coming down past her knees. And of course the red ribbon tied in a bow around the high collar of the dress, the classic girl's uniform at Ouran academy. For her casual clothes, she generally wears soft pastels and white. She loves wearing girly dresses and skirts, usually with ballet flats or short heals. She also enjoys silk, eyelet, and lacy fabrics as primary choices for clothing. She wears thin, square framed glasses in school for her slight nearsightedness, but other than that, she doesn't care to wear them. She doesn't see a need to wear makeup off stage, so she only wears it for special occasions, preferring to stay "Au Natural" to keep her skin clear.
Personality:Sophia is generally quieter than most of the students of Ouran Academy, but that is mostly due to her not yet being fluent in Japanese. She is very kind and sweet to her friends, but is very wary of strangers, and doesn't warm up to them until she has a sense of who they are.
Her appearance and breezy demeanor makes her seem approachable and friendly. But because of her inept japanese, she comes off in conversation as quiet, somewhat rude, and a little bit stupid. She is always trying her best to make friends, but it usually doesn't work, as it's difficult to talk to her.
Sophia is observant. It's not easy to keep things hidden from her. She picks up on little details other people miss, but lacks the vocabulary necessary to voice her findings and suspicions.
Despite being quiet, Sophia knows she was gifted with her mother's beauty. She knows other people think her as beautiful too. She doesn't try to conceal it with modesty either. If there is any possible way for her to get something more or better by using her looks, she will go for it. She knows true perfection is impossible, but likes to be as close to it as she can manage.
Sophia needs to be doing something. She is an excellent multi tasker. She can easily switch between different things in her mind, and is able to process things quickly. She has to be active with her body or mind, doesn't matter which, or even both, she just needs to be moving forward in some way.
Lastly, (or is it?) Sophia is fearless. She puts herself out there, and may not be always taken as she expects, but is happy to be discovering something. She isn't afraid of the unknown, but welcomes it with open arms. She loves to be center stage doing ballet or trying something new, strange or foreign to her.
History:One passionate night in Paris, during a dreary dinner party, the gorgeous daughter of an extremely wealthy businessman caught the eye of a young, talented Japanese business prodigy, in France for a few weeks on a trip to get the feel for life at the head of a large corporation, passed onto him by his father only weeks before.
Over the next week, there was an affair between said french lady, Lydia St. Cloud and business prodigy, Mitsuo Tatsuha. It was kept a secret between the lovers though, because any word of an affair could destroy both of the businesses, as Lydia was set to marry another man, Claude Richard. Mitsuo then, with a heavy heart, had to leave Paris, his lover, and the child his Lydia was now protecting.
A year later, he returned to Paris to find Lydia married to Claude, and a beautiful baby girl. She looked just like her mother. After checking on his illegitimate family, he had to leave again, but even from so far away, he sent money to help care for his lovely daughter and he got to see her in secret once a year.
Sophia Marie, Rene St. Cloud Richard, the illegitimate love child of Matsuo and Lydia, is a gifted ballerina, and is extremely graceful. She has been dancing ever since she could walk, and is in love with it. She believes dance can reflect feelings and emotions better than words, as anyone using any language can easily interpret body language better than words, which are harder to understand due to different opinions of what a word would mean. With dance, you can see how a person is feeling according to how they move, and that, to Sophia, is beautiful.
Sophia was a happy child, and still always tries to stay positive. But when her stepfather was around, he was always harsh and short tempered. In Claude's eyes, she is a worthless excuse for a human being, being of unpure blood. He detested her, and longed for his very own son that he fathered. He would never admit it to anyone, but he did see that the girl is beautiful. But due to greed, Claude sees this as an advantage for later on: He can use her to merge their business with another, and ultimately gain more money.
In elementary school, Sophia received average marks. Not by far the most outstanding student, but certainly not the worst either. She spent more time with ballet than anything. In middle school, while visiting with her father one time, she discovered he played the harp. She was immediately taken with this, as Sophia greatly admired him. So she started learning how to play, and found that she was rather talented with that as well as ballet.
Claude's wish for a son was granted when Sophia was seven years old. Lydia bore a baby boy. Leon Richard was spoiled. He and his sister always bickered, but it was simply sibling rivalry. Their mother loved them both, but always made more time for Sophia, as Leon was always following his father around. He resembles his father more, with shaggy, dirty blond hair and washed out, green eyes. He was kept unaware that Sophia is actually his half sister. He always admired her, with her dancing and her talent with the harp. He was rather talented with the piano, but wasn't a big fan of playing.
Claude favored his son, and still obviously disliked Sophia. She never felt any draw towards her step father, but still respected him. When she was 13, she cried herself to sleep and at 14, she cut herself once, but stopped when she realized that it would mean admitting defeat, and found no relief in the experience.
Sophia knew she was a product of a steamy night in Paris, and she found it rather romantic that her mother fell in love so deeply so quickly. She was sad that her lineage mattered so much in such high society. But she was never upset with her mom, after all, she just fell in love! There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. She only gets upset when Claude openly disrespects her mother, which sadly, happened more often as Sophia grew closer to marrying age.
Boys were always a mystery to Sophia. She is neutral about them. She was simply interested in other things, like ballet and playing the harp. She isn't one to fall for appearances, she'd much rather go for someone based on compatibility and personality. But, her being vain, she knows when a guy's looking good to her. She goes for looks, but stays for personality. The only thing though, it's rare to have both. She will find her true love whenever, she isn't particularly concerned with it.
For her first year in high school, Sophia was ever so popular. She was rich, kind, talented and beautiful. She didn't have many friends, since she was particularly selective, but she was charming, and people loved to be around her. She never talked about her family life; if anyone knew who her true father was, that would create problems she desperately doesn't want to cause.
Then, a month before summer break before moving up into her second year of high school, her mother got a call from her father's mother. She had said that Mitsuo had fallen ill, and, because he has no heir, said that she wanted Sophia to come and live with them for the remainder of high school, so she can eventually marry into a wealthy family to merge her father's business with another. Her grandmother had told them if they refused, she would reveal the scandal to the press that had happened 17 years before.
Sophia's step father didn't want his perfect public image to be ruined, so against his wife's and Sophia's will, he sent her to Japan, telling the public that he wishes his daughter to receive a better education there. (He was also happy to be rid of the spoiled brat) Since she found out she was going, her step father made her quit ballet and harp lessons in order to take Japanese. She was never particularly good at it, so she didn't have a strong interest in learning. With nothing else to relieve her stress, like dance did, she rebelled from learning the new language. After she finished her second year of high school in France, and after her summer break she had packed her things and headed off to Japan. The only plus was that she would be away from that terrible man. Sadly, she would now have to deal with a strict, sharp tongued grandmother. Oh well, sometimes you just can't win.
Her grandmother wanting her to be the best, she was enrolled in the ever prestigious, grand private school, Ouran Academy. Since she blatantly refused to really learn Japanese, she certainly paid for it here. For her first month, she had no friends and was extremely reclusive. She didn't partake in any activities outside of school and solely focused on playing the harp to please her father, who she didn't often get to see since he was always busy, either at doctor's appointments, or managing the business.
Sophia's grandmother was stuffy and rude to her, as she was a love child. She thought of her as trash that didn't deserve to be born into this life of wealth and comfort. Sophia does her best to avoid her, because no matter what she does, she just can't seem to win. After she stopped trying to impress her grandma and focused on being herself again, She rediscovered dancing, and once again balanced it with practicing the harp.
So, as Sophia was one day curiously wandering the school, she ran into Music Room 3, thinking inside would contain fabulous musical instruments of all sorts, she stepped inside. She wanted to see if they had a harp, but found something much more interesting- Ouran High School Academy's very own host club.

Sample RP:After being at Ouran for over a month, Sophia decided it was time to accept that there was simply no way to change her situation. So she was determined to make the best of it. After classes got out that day, she, instead of going to ballet, went exploring around the school.
"Everything is so extravagant here" She thought to herself as she admired the beautiful decor and furnishings of her school. Up a grand staircase, down a long hallway, she found a sign. She stared at the strange characters, recognizing a number, a three, next to what she thinks says "music room".
"Music Room #3?" she whispered to herself... She then got excited. What if they had a harp? She could then come to school early and practice on there every morning! She eagerly grabbed the gorgeous handle on the large, heavy wooden door and pulled it open.
Instead of wonderful musical instruments, she was greeted with ruby red rose petals and a chorus of "Welcome Princess". She hadn't found a precious harp after all. She had found something even better: The Ouran Academy Host Club. Even if it was a host club, inside were potential friends, which she has been desperately missing. With a smile and newfound hope in her heart, she walked inside.
