Here she was, walking down the hall towards the music room. The girls had been talking about this "Host Club" for the past few days she'd been there. No one gave her many details. And if they tried, it'd been hard for the girl to understand. Then again, that may be because their words went through one ear and out the other. The one girl, Ayame, that she'd made friends with brought it up a couple of times, too. It seemed this "Tamaki" was the object of her affection.
Who was Tamaki? What was this Host Club anyway? When Yumi asked Suichi on the car ride to school, the older boy simply told her to stay away (though not in those exact words). She could remember the conversation as clear as day. Then again, it'd only been this morning...
"Susssshiii!" Came her high pitched call, as she tossed a peice of her toast (that she'd somehow snuck into the car) at his head. The boy looked up from his book, raising an amused brow at her. The peice of toast bounced off of his head, and fell into his lap. He took it, and ate it. But... why did she insist on calling him after uncooked fish? "Have you heard of the Host Club? What is it?" She asked, a curious look upon her face. He sighed, running fingers though his hair. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but he had definately heard about it a couple of times...
"Eh, something in the music room the girls are fond of. Group of guys in there or something. I don't think you should bother. Not worth it, Yu." With that, Suichi went back to his book...
Yumi didn't like that Suichi was indirectly telling her what to do. Besides, it just made her want to know even more! Forbidden area? Fun! Lots of fun! Just hearing about it sparked the fire of curiosity, and his words only fed fuel to the flames. She was determinded to find out what the hype over this so called club was. One way or another! The determination had led her to lie to her older brother, telling him she was going to be hiding out in the library to study.
Hopefully... he wouldn't go looking for her anytime soon. Finally, she made it to the room. She looked up, green eyes scanning over the sign. 'Why a music room...?' She questioned the room in her head. Did the club have something to do with music? She highly doubted it... but why would they use a music room then? It didn't make much sense.
The girl proceeded to pop the door open, and peek into the room. Brown locks of hair fell down her shoulders as she bent forward slightly, in an attempt to be sneaky. Too bad she was never good at it. She swore up and down she was... but she knew darn well she always made too much noise. 'I see boys... and a lot of girls in here...'
A face full of questions, her eyes began to search the room best as they could from that angle. She could point out a few familar faces. They were girls she'd seen in class, or walking the halls. And here was Ayame, her newest friend. She seemed to be drinking some tea, and munching on a peice of cake. The sight of the sweets made her stomach rumble. And loud. The girls' hands automatically wrapped around her stomach. It looked almost as if she were trying to shut the poor body part up. "ACK!"
'I shouldn't have skipped lunch!'
What was so bad about this place anyways? She didn't see any reason to stay away from it...

It was another gloriously beautiful day for Tamaki, though of course any day in which he got to show his God-given beauty to the school was a beautiful day. School was done for the day, and with that came his responsibilities as the king of the Host Club. There were many girls to please for him to shirk his duty, unless something really big and important came up (most likely one of his big crazy schemes). At the moment he was currently dealing with one of his clients, a young girl named Ayame. By this point all the various pleasantries and compliments had gone through, and with the munching on sweets it was about time for the Hosts to switch clients. Glancing around the room, Tamaki surveyed his kingdom of beauty when his eye settled on a poor, starving girl at the entrance.
Starving! Why, how could a young girl in Ouran be starving?! She was wrapping her stomach as if she hadn’t eaten in days?! Tamaki, of course, was exaggerating everything in his mind, but that mattered little to the King. Since it was almost time to switch anyway, Tamaki decided to introduce himself to this new girl and bring her some food. But first….
Gently holding Ayame’s face, he brought himself forward and excused his sudden leave”Excuse me, dear Ayame, but I must take leave. Another girl is in need of my services, but do not fret, for my heart will ache for your presence until the day we meet again.”
With that Tamaki arose with a flourish, and made his way towards the entrance of the club. Along the way, he began the toughest task of all for a host; analyzing the client. Through this he could figure out the best way to approach her, and figure out a line to say. She had long, light brown hair with two eyes that glowed and shimmered like a newly polished pair of emeralds. The most obvious thing though was that she looked rather hungry, hunched over with a rumbling stomach. Was the site of so much food causing her to suddenly gain an appetite? Well, he would be sure to rectify this situation with all the haste and poise of a host!
Arriving at the girl’s location, Tamaki bent slight on one knee to bring him face to face with the fair maiden. He gently caressed the girl’s face, brushing hair out of her face as he tilted it up towards his so he could gaze deeply into her eyes (oh, he was looking extraordinary beautiful today; green was a good color for him).
”As soon as I heard the rumbling of your stomach, I had to rush over. Please, allow me to your fill your hunger, and in return I ask for you to fill in the emptiness in my heart, for it hungers for the love of a maiden.” [/blockquote]

Yumi's eyes lingered over the sweets, before gingerly moving to another, and another. She seemed to be scared over getting caught because she was staring--which, her step mother would always yell about it being rude and unlady like. But how could she resist? There was food! Well, snack foods, and they looked delicious. All of her favorites were there--ranging from strawberry shortcakes, to chocolate cake, and even cookies! 'Small cookies! With chocolate chips!'[/i]
The girl could practically feel her mouth water. She wanted it all so bad. She whined lightly, biting down on her lower lip in an attempt to keep from screaming. Screaming would attract too much attention... and she certainly didn't want to make herself seem crazy! Especially on her second day of school. No way. That'd be bad. Yumi continued to try and contain herself from trying to steal everyone's sweets. She began to figit and shift in her spot, debating on going over to Ayame and asking her to share. Just a little. That wouldn't be bad, right? Or rude? Sharing was caring, darn it! And Yumi had shared her home-madeb goodies with Ayame earlier that day!
Ayame wouldn't have any objections if Yumi brought that up. And if she did, she'd recieve a peice of Yu's mind! Yeah. That was it. She'd go on over, and sit... then she would ask with the cutest facial expression she could muster. She figured her puppy-pout would work. It was a look she had perfected over the years, and it worked everytime (or nearly everytime anyway. Her step-mother seemed immune to such a tactic). Yumi smirked to herself, ready to waltz on over to her friend. Her plan was planned out, and it was perfect. There was just one little issue...
There was someone very tall in front of her now. He bent down to meet her. The sudden movement caused her to jump back with a 'meep'. Yumi blinked a few times at the boy, tilting her head to the side. Wait a second... wasn't this guy just sitting with Ayame? She made an attempt to look around him, towards her friend. She was stopped, however when her hair was moved. Why was he touching her? She gave him a confused, yet curious look. Even as he tilted her face up, the look remained. "Buh?"
A finger made it's way up to her lips, and she lightly bit down on the manicured nail. He was offering her food? Yummy food?! "Food? With strawberries?" She asked meekly. It wasn't that she was shy or anything... but she couldn't believe he was being so nice! To give her food even though he didn't know who she was. Maybe this school wasn't so bad, afterall. Yumi was so busy thinking of the food, she didn't really bother to let the rest of his words process in her mind. But... how was she supposed to fill his heart? That didn't make any sense at all.
"Fill your heart? Isn't it full of blood already?" She asked densely. Oh gawd...[/size]

In approaching the girl before him, Tamaki could see that she was eyeing all the sweets in the room with envy. Hmm, perhaps Honey-sempai would have been a better choice, but he was the best in acquainting newcomers to the wonders of the Host Club. Besides, eyeing sweets didn’t mean that she would like the boy-lolita, but it would provide a topic of discussion and flirtation that he could use with her. Her reactions were rather adorable though; whining and biting her lip. There was no way he could deny her the pleasure of the Host Clubs any longer. In approaching her with all his charms, Tamaki was ready to take her into a pleasure-land of sweets, both in boys and in food.
And after everything was given out and set, Tamaki soon found himself facing something he couldn’t, ironically, handle: denseness. The girl was completely unphased by his maneuvers, instead, focusing completely on the food in front of her, though admittedly it was asked in a completely adorable manner that almost made him melt and fawn over her. Too bad Honey was really busy at the moment cause this was definitely something he could deal. Still, this would be a test of his hosting skills. He was going to ensure that this girl, as dense as she apparently was, was going to be happy!
Of course, during all that thinking on how to deal with the denseness, Tamaki had just been kind of glazed over and moving, a slight imaginary breeze showing the awkwardness of the situation as his mind had to take time to adjust what had just happened. With a quick shake of his head, however, Tamaki was free of his mental clogging and was ready to get back to work! Stepping back a bit and freeing the girls head from his ivory hand, Tamaki motioned towards an empty table.
”Why yes, it is filled with blood, pounding through my heart, filled with passion for you. So please, take a seat and enjoy your fill of the delicious sweets provided for you.”
Ha ha, he had taken the failed compliment and turned it around into something just as equally flattering and special for the girl. Now then, let the games begin! [/blockquote]

//OOC: I'm sorry this is so short. And that it took so long D8!//
Yumi's eyes scanned the boy's face in the quick moment of silence. Just what was he thinking? Did she say something wrong...? Yumi sure hoped that she didn't. She didn't want to offend him! But, before she knew it the boy had let her go and was on the move again. He seemed fine, and it set her at ease. The girl practically skipped to the table, humming along the way. The thought of being able to nibble on sweets, once again, made her happy.
Which one would she eat first? The chocolate one? Or the stuffed with fudge? Maybe a peice of strawberry shortcake would be a good starter! Oh, there was just so much to choose from! The girl was having a hard time deciding in her head. She'd never be able to get away with eating so many sweets at home... would it be okay to eat as many as she wanted here? He did say to 'enjoy her fill'.
Yumi sat, a smile clear on her face. "Passion? You barely know me though..." She replied bluntly, keeping her smile. Well, at least he was being nice. She reached for a peice of cake, before biting into the strawberry one top. She chewed, savoring the flavor of the fruit as she watched him with her bright eyes. Finally, she swallowed. "So... I can eat anything I want, Mister?" She licked her lips, then took a bite of the cake."Ooh! This is good! Thanks!"
Yumi took another bite, getting a bit of whipped cream on herself. Not that she cared at the moment--there was no one to yell at her for being a messy eater, or for not being a proper young lady. The cake was just too good! Psh! She was going to eat it how she wanted!
"Oh, yeah! I'm Yumi! I just transfered in~"

As they sat down to the table, Tamaki found that the girl seemed to be much more interested in the food that was in front of her than his hosting skills. Maybe she just wasn’t familiar with the concept of the Host Club? That would probably explain it. Still, did she really have to act like Honey-sempai? He really would have fit this client well. Tamaki could see the two of them happily munching on cakes and snacks all day long. Still, this was his client now, and he was going to ensure that she had a good time. She would be able to have her cake AND eat it too…..whatever that meant in this particular situation! Metaphorically speaking statements aside, Tamaki was ready to accept the challenge that this girl was providing him to his hosting skills!
Apparently the straight fashioned statements that he was making weren’t working for her. Apparently she was taking everything that he was saying way to literally. Definitely not familiar with the concept of the Host Club. Well, for the moment he would just let her enjoy the delicious treats that were in front of her; he would get to explaining everything within time. When asked if she could eat anything, he simply nodded. When she got the whip cream on her face, however, he saw his chance to get into the ‘princely’ mood.
Leaning forward, he cupped her face again with one hand and looked deeply into her eyes as he began to wipe the whipped cream away with a handkerchief In his other hand. As she had just mentioned what her name was, he could get a little more creative with his statements.
”Well then Yumi, I am hoping that the Host Club is providing an excellent first impression of Ouran for you. But oh, what is this? It seems that you have gotten a bit of whipped cream on your face. Here, let me get that for you…”
With the whipped cream removed, Tamaki put away the handkerchief and then focused on his next task; explaining to the girl what exactly was going on around here.
”Anyway, it seems you are rather confused about the situation in which you have been thrown into. You see, you are in the Ouran High School Host Club. We work to serve all the girls of this school and do our best to ensure that they are happy. Each host has their own particular skills to cater to every customer. I am the “princely” type, as well as the king of the host club. I am glad that I am your first choice for your first time here.” [/blockquote]

Yumi munched on the peice of cake with a look of pure delight on her face. Why was Suichi so against her coming to investigate what the Host Club was? Far as she could tell, it was better than she thought! There was free cake! Free cookies! Hell, there was just a bunch of free sugary treats! This was stuff she couldn't get much of at her new home--not with her step-mother in charge anyways.
Besides, there was someone who seemed really nice was letting her eat it! He was letting her eat as much as she wanted! Suichi, or as she would call him, "Sushi", just had his pants in a knot. There was nothing to worry about it. In the midst of her thoughts, Yumi failed to notice the little bit of whipped cream on her face. When she finally did notice it (and before she could even try to clean it up herself), this guy was touching her again. The girl sweatdropped, before allowing a sheepish smile to take form on her face.
"Thanks. I'm normally not so messy! Haha!" She proceeded to finishing up the peice of cake she had. "Yeah! This place seems great! And to think Suichi said I shouldn't bother investigating what a Host Club was! He's so silly." With a small laugh, she licked her lips, cleaning up the bit of cream that was left there. She looked over the sweets again, trying to quickly decide which one would go down the hatch next. It was such a hard choice! His voice caught her attention again, making her look up at him once more.
"You... serve the girls here?" Yumi watched his face, trying to understand what exactly he meant. Where these guys just entertaining girls? Is that what he meant? But... why? She had to ask. "So... you guys entertain girls at the school with sweets?" But something told her it wasn't just sweets...
"Prince, huh? I don't see anything princely..." PFFT! Ohl the girl had yet to realize that Tamaki had been doing very princely things...

So far, it seemed that the girl was way more interested in the food, from the look of pure delight that was on her face at the moment. Wow, he never though he would find himself competing with the food for the attention of one of the clients. Was he really worth less than the cake in this girl’s eyes? Or had she just been so hungry that nothing mattered more than the food. Whatever the case, he was going to win this challenge! He was not going to lose to a cake for the role as prince of the Host Club! That was Honey-Sempai’s job! In the process of getting the whip cream off of her face, it seemed that he was starting to get through to her.
”No problem my dear, as your Host I am glad to provide such services. After all, I would hate to see such a perfect vision of beauty soiled by a spot of cream.”
The girl, however, soon mentioned that there had been someone who had warned her about the Host Club. That could be troublesome; was it a disgruntled former customer, someone out the get the club….well it could have been an older brother who was just being overprotective of her. That would make more sense, and understandable. After all, he would be more amazed if an older brother WASN’T concerned about their younger sister hanging around such handsome young men as themselves.
”Is this Suichi an older brother of yours? Feel free to bring him by some time; we would be glad to discuss the situation with him if he has any concerns. After all, we wouldn’t to cause trouble for any of our guests.”
As the conversation continued, Tamaki explained the concept of the club to the girl, who seemed to be sort of confused about the whole thing. Well, that was fine, he was glad to answer any questions about the club.
”Not just sweets my dear, but conversation, compliments, flattery, and a series of unique skills amongst us all. We also host the occasional big event, such as a ball or special themed days. Whatever it takes to ensure the happiness of the girls of this school.”
His throat a little dry, Tamaki was in the midst of taking a sip when the girl mentioned that he had yet to be acting princely. In an instant, Tamaki was frozen mid-sip, eyes wide and quivering. He hadn’t been acting princely?! What had he been doing wrong? He was acting like he had always acted before. Was he failing in his role as a prince of the Host Club! In the midst of this depression, he almost forgot that he was still entertaining a guest. However, his inner Host pushed him back to reality; he could dwell in his pity corner later.
”W-what do you mean by that. Is there some other way that you would like me to act?” he asked nervously, trying to figure out where he went wrong with this. [/blockquote]

Yumi loved sweets. No, she loved food in general. As long as it tasted good, and it wasn't corn or mushrooms... she'd eat it. This was not to say that people (or Tamaki in this case) didn't matter, but her stomach came first! It wasn't until her hunger was slightly curved that the girl even began to fully register what the boy had been saying to her. She chewed slowly, before swallowing the rest. "Beauty, huh... you're pulling my leg, aren'tcha~?" She teased with a laugh, slapping Tamaki's arm lightly. What a funny joke! PFFT. Yeah, right.
"Yup! That's Sushi. He's always trying to tell me what to do." She adored her brother. She looked up to him, just like she had their mother as her role-models. She loved hanging around Suichi--always did--but boy could he get bossy! And when he got bossy, there was no turning back. If he found out she visited the Host Club and he told her not to... all hell would break loose. At least, for her it would. "Um... I don't think that's a good idea. If he found out I was here when he told me not to come... let's just say the fur will start flying. Suichi doesn't like when I don't listen to him... eheheheh..."
The girl put a finger to her lips, biting down on the nail as he started to explain more of the club. Hm. Maybe a piece of chocolate cake would go down nicely. No, she wanted whatever has lemon involved! And once she laid eyes on it, her hand went for it. Wait, was that tea? What kind of tea was that? She wrinkled her nose a few times. She didn't like tea very much. She didn't really hate it, but it DID get tiring when your step-mother was trying to make you drink it everyday. Eck.
What was his name again? Tamani? Tami...? Tam... Tam... Tama-something. Just what did Ayame say his name was? DARN IT. "Hey... Tama... Tama-something! Do you have any juice? Even box-juices would fine! Well, as long as its not grape. Bleh!" The thought of grape flavored juice sent a shiver down her spine. Ew. She loved the fruit, but things made to taste like it? They just didn't taste like it to her. Anything grape flavored usually tasted like a cheap knock off of the fruit to her.
"So... you tell girls things even though you don't mean it?"
Yumi was quiet for a few seconds after his last statement. Did she offend him? Oops. Princely... Princely... she was thinking. Hard. Just what was so princely about this guy anyway? The girl leaned in slightly, a finger tapping her chin as she tried to figure it out. Just what was it... "Hm... well, no. You're really nice! I like that! You just don't come off as a prince to me, that's all. Then again... how do princes act nowadays?" Wait... she wasn't even sure how a prince should act? DERP.

Apparently the girls interest in the food was beginning to wane. Great, he was starting to break through the barrier of starvation in order to give her the full Host Club experience. This was a challenge he was going to win! However, he still seemed to have a ways to go with her, as it seemed she was doubting the words he was saying about her, thinking it all a joke instead. As girls usually fawned over him, this was a rather confusing situation, but Tamaki did his best to hide that confusion (he was getting pretty good at hiding it, though in his eyes one might just spot a bit of it). He never faked his words to the ladies; he was completely and honestly sincere, like any true host would be! So that meant his new goal was to show this girl the truth of his statements!
However, he had to say, he felt a little wrong in knowing the girl was hiding this from her brother. While one of the twins would find this a fun game to hide it, Tamaki didn’t like seeing families hiding secrets from each other. It just didn’t seem right at all. As a Host he had to respect her wishes, but he would rather have a talk with her brother and set the record straight then to hide it. In the end, he would most likely find out, and the resulting fight would damage their relationship. For Tamaki, nothing was worse than destroying a loving, family relationship. Still, as a Host, he would have to respect her wishes…..till she was gone and he could organize the club into some plan.
”Well, if I could give some advice, I might suggest you discuss it with him. However, if you do not wish to do so, we won’t tell him. It’ll be our little secret.”
In the midst of explaining the club, the girl’s interest seemed to fade again. Still, he kept up with it, and when she began to speak, he hoped it was a question about the club. Instead…it was about juice. What was up with this girl?! She was definitely a Honey-sempai customer, but he would keep this up the best he could. However, that was a good question. Did they have any juice? He couldn’t think of it, but that might be something work keeping on hand in the future.
”Unfortunately, I do not think we have any. However, we will make sure to have some for you in any future visits to the club. And for future reference, you may call me Tamaki.” he added, noticing she wasn’t fully aware of his name. However, she soon said something that was even more insulting to Tamaki then insulting his prince-character type, and it was that error he was meaning to correct.
”No, that is not the case at all,” he said, sounding rather serious actually,”I am always fully sincere as a Host. I have never lied towards any of the girls I host. Besides,” he started to lighten up again,”It is unprincely to lie about one’s own feelings.”
That, and if you asked some of the other members they would probably say he was too naïve to actually be able to lie. Whatever the reason, he would never lie to a girl, or really anyone for that matter. Still, the implication he wasn’t princely was a low blow for him, but the way she was talking made it more clear that it was just a lack of information on that point. Now he was getting somewhere!
”Oh, is that the problem? Well, I can remedy that situation quite easily. You see, in the Host Club I am the ‘princely’ character type; in this case it simply means that I am a charming, kind-hearted, courteous, and sincere person. I am not actually a prince, if that is what you were expecting. Although, should the need arise, I would gladly throw myself into the fires of a dragon’s breath to save you.” [/blockquote]

Yumi took a peice of her lemon cake onto the fork, before biting down on it. Ooh! This was more yummy than the strawberry dessert she had first! "Heehee~! I love lemon! Where do you get this?" She asked between the chews. She didn't care if it wasn't lady-like. There was no one to yell at her. The girl finished the peice of cake quickly, reaching for another peice of the same kind. She had to admit, the lemon was her favorite so far. She was going to get as much of it as she could. Just trying to estimate how much she could eat before wanting to move on, had begun to push Suichi to the back of her mind.
What he didn't know wouldn't hurt him, right? As long as no one told him, or he didn't see her sneak into the music room, there would be no issues! She told him she'd be in the library, and he was busy... with whatever he was doing. She just hopped he wouldn't go looking for her. If he did, THAT might've turned into an issue if he couldn't find her. Maybe she could just say she got bored and went to explore the school grounds? Yeah! That'd work. She'd always been curious of her surroundings, so it wouldn't sound too much like a lie--it'd sound almost normal for her. Yumi snickered to herself and her little plan. It was perfect!
"I don't think discussing it with him will work out, either. He likes to think he's right all the time, and everyone else is just floating in the sea of wrong." She sweatdropped a bit at her own wording, but it was the truth... "Let's just do what you said--keep it a secret--yes?" Finishing the second peice of lemon cake, she went for another peice. She could feel her stomach start to fill. Just a little more to go, and she'd could hold out until dinner.
She was in a good mood now! But then... he said there was no juice. Just tea. Yumi gave a deep, disappointed sigh. "Awww... first she wants to cram in down my throat, and stuff all the cabinets with it... and now all you have is tea?" She gave an audible whine, but he said he'd have some. Somehow, that just made the tea sitting infront of her worth sticking through. She needed something to wash back all the cake. Free sweets... and soon, free juice? Heck, yeah! This was her kind of club! Or so she thought anyways.
"Alright, Tamaki! I'll hold you to that. Pinky promise, 'kay~?" She grinned, holding her pinky up childishly.
Yumi blinked at Tamaki, before raising a slightly amused brow. One's own feelings? No way could he feel for someone he didn't know... or so many girls... right? Or did he just like getting fawned over? Maybe he really DID like a lot of girls. Eeesh. How weird. Maybe THIS was the reason Suichi didn't want her near the club. But... but... they had free sweets! SWEETS! Pushing past her (sudden) mental issue, she deicided to try and (at least) drink some of the tea. She took a small sip. Bleck!
"Okay, so... you're saying you like a lot of girls...? But do you know anything about your... um.. uh... 'clients'?" She questioned, takign another sip of the tea. Eck! This time she made a face at the taste. Well... at least it tasted better than the ones at home. Now those were just bitter and gross. Plus, the needed lemons! "I see, I see... that makes some sense...
"But, dragons don't exist anymore, right? So there's no way you could jump into its... flame-thingie... or whatever it was you just said."

What was with this girl? She didn’t act at all like the other girls that visited the Host Club; if anything, she was acting like a female version of Honey-sempai, but a little more dense maybe. Maybe he just really wasn’t the type for her; the boy-lolita would probably work a lot better. Still, he wasn’t ready to give up on this case and would do his best still. Next time, however, he would probably through her out towards Honey-sempai to be with. As for her question….he actually didn’t know. That was Kyouya’s job, although Honey-sempai probably knew as well. What was the bakery that catered the Host Club again? Ah well, he’d just get Kyouya to answer that question later; it wasn’t that important was it? Then again, the way the girl was scarfing down those cakes.
”Huh, I’m quite sure actually. Maybe later we can ask Kyouya about that; he usually handles the logistics of the Host Club. Or maybe you would like to meet Honey-sempai sometimes. He loves cakes just like you do so he’d probably have great suggestions on such things.”
As the discussion about her family commenced, Tamaki noticed she seemed rather disappointed about the lack of juice. More noticeably, the emphasis on the word ‘she’ told him that something had to be wrong at home, especially in relation to the tea. Maybe a new step-mom had come in the house and was making all sorts of changes? Her statements seemed to imply that might just be the case, but he couldn’t be for sure. Another job for Kyouya it seemed; he definitely would have some information on the family situation Yumi was currently in. Since she didn’t seem to be in the mood about talking, however, he wouldn’t push the issue further. He did feel bad about going around her back to find out the problem though…
When she offered her pinky to do a ‘pinky promise’, Tamaki was a bit at a loss to do. He had heard about such things, but had never done one himself. With no siblings to do it to, and there was no way his current batch of friends would done it (especially Kyouya), he never had the chance. Well, what a new and exciting thing! Copying her motions, he did what he hoped was right and curled his pinky around hers.
”Okay.” he replied. Now he would just have to make sure Kyouya would get some juice for this girl in the future visits she would hopefully be making.
Explaining what the host club was, however, seemed to be a rather interesting challenge, but was starting to frustrate Tamaki some. Still, since he was hosting right now, he could afford to show it, and instead simply held it back and worked his charms, still talking pleasantly and as calmly as he could. Still, he couldn’t help but wonder what this girl was like; he had never had such trouble explaining it at all in the past.
”Why of course. Kyouya does extensive research on all our clients to ensure the best match, and then of course there is anything they would like to confide with us as we talk.”
One thing the girl really was bad about though was metaphors, similies, and other comparisons used to make the language more poetic.
”It was just a metaphor, a poetic statement to enhance the effect of my words. Simply saying I will protect is kind of dull; it fails to express the passion and feeling behind the sentiment.” [/blockquote]

Yumi savored the lemony tasting goodness she got with each bite. She wondered if she would be able to take some of it home. They had sweets at home, but they were usually covered in coconut or cream filled. They were sweets that her new siblings enjoyed. It wasn't that the sweets were nasty, but those sweets had NOTHING on these delicious lemon and strawberry flavored ones. After all... they were still not quite used to having herself and Suichi around. There was still some time needed to adjust... for both parties. That, and her step-mother limited her on her daily intake of the stuff. Her mother never did that! Why did she have to watch what she eated now!? She wasn't fat! "Awww. They only keep the... not-so-tasty stuff at home. And then, I can only have a little bit!"
Yumi huffed at herself as she chewed--going over her newfound mental conflict over and over. Just then he started to talk again. He caught her attention right away. Boy, could she be simple minded... "...Who's Kyouya?" She asked, curiously. He must've been another one of the people at the club. This 'Honey' must've been another member, too. It was common sense, right? If they were boys, and would know about the club, it only seemed to fit.
The girl gave him a big smile when their pinky's locked. "Good!" She uncurled her pinky, keeping her smile. "Don't go back on your promise, now! Or I'll get you! With... uh... something! I'll get you good! But it'll be horrible!" She normally didn't play pranks on people, but when she got in the mood, she didn't know when to quit. Even so, they were just fun~! But she saw no reason to play any on Tamaki--unless he went back on his promise, that is. "Isn't that an invasion of privacy?' She shrugged then. Eh, this Kyouya guy probably didn't dig that deep. Or maybe he did. THAT was a little creepy. Then again, it just depended on how much they liked to know. "Ooooh. Sorry, I'm not really all that good with that poetic stuff. But I get it now! Just gimme some time, yeah?"
She sighed, content the moment she finished off the peice of cake. "You really saved me from having to wait until dinner! Ahaha, thanks!" She finished off the tea, too. A little too quick. Hot! Hot! Hot! Without meaning to, she put the tea back into the cup (ew!). "I buwnt mah tooonge!" She wailed, fanning her tongue with her hand as if she could put out some kind of fire. "Ebil... tea..."

The comparisons to Honey-sempai were starting to get so great that Tamaki was already getting bored making them. Only difference between these two it seemed was she didn’t eat these sort of sweets at home. To be fair though, Honey-sempai could probably cut back at least a little bit. The fact he hadn’t had any cavities or any teeth issues so far was just amazing considering how much he consumed between here and the club. Still, it was only a matter of time before those sweets caught up with him. Still, it was who he was, and after all, wasn’t that the reason he had joined the club in the first place was so he could be who truly was?
”Well, you are welcome to enjoy as much as you want here.”
With more info on the mechanics of the Club, he realized he didn’t break down the other members all that well. Maybe that would be a good place to start, get her to maybe try out some of the other Hosts. After all, it was the girl’s choice of who fit them best that mattered. Even if he thought Honey was a perfect match, she might in fact one of the others. That, and he had a feeling this girl was wanting to know the club manager rather well…at least so she could go and order the cakes she wanted (hmm, Ouran Host Club Catering Services had a nice ring to it…).
”Kyouya is the club manager, responsible for all the behind the scenes work of the club. He also does some hosting as the ‘cool type’. There is also Mori-sempai, who is the ‘strong type’, and Hikaru and Kaoru, the ‘mischievous’ types along with their brotherly love. We also recently added another member, Haruhi, the ‘rookie’ or ‘natural’ type. Feel free to request any of their services whenever you please.”
Tamaki just smiled kindly as the girl threatened him if he should break his promise. He was a man of his word, and there had to something special about a pinky promise to make it even stronger. Still, his higher calling of wanting to make every girl happy was making him want to try and get involved with her family a bit more, to see if he could soothe their troubles. Families should never fight, tearing themselves apart like this. It made him sad whenever he saw it happening…although to be fair, Kyouya’s spying could be seen as a bit of an invasion of privacy…
”Uhm…I guess not since most of his info probably comes from rumors and talk around school, public information and all that..”. How did Kyouya get his information?
Not being used to the more poetic stuff was understandable. It could be a little much for some girls sometimes, and when that happened he would try and tone it down. He would work on easing her into it if she stuck with him as a Host of choice. He would give her all the time she needed…though he’d still slip one in every once in a while.
”That is understandable then, we have all the time in the world for you to adjust. After all, when I am with you, it feels like eternity is slipping right by us.”
All of a sudden, the girl found herself burning her tongue on the tea. Instantly, Tamaki stood up, and with a snap of his finger, ordered one of the other club members to bring him a pitcher of ice cold water quickly. Within seconds it arrived, with fresh glasses. With skill and efficiency, Tamaki poured a glass, offering it to Yumi.
”Here, this should help with the burning. You must be careful with your tea. Don’t worry about the mess, we’ll clean it up later.” [/blockquote]

Yumi couldn't keep the grin from appearing on her face. "Ahaha! Believe me, I will!" She started to wonder if she could get away with coming to the Host Club often. She knew Suichi would start to question her about her where abouts if she disappeared. He'd keep asking... and asking. But with the Host Club, not only did she get to eat, but Tamaki seemed he would turn out to be a good friend! She was all for making friends, considering besides Ayame and Suichi, Tamaki was the only other person she knew on campus. She didn't mind moving too much, but moving from the USA to Japan had been a little tough. She had to leave all her friends behind, and making new ones wasn't easy...
Yumi nodded a few times as he spoke. So each member had something different about them. That made each Host unlike the last. It also made sense, seeing as no one would enjoy everyone acting the same. The idea of that just seemed bland; boring. "I see... and you're the 'princely type'. Okay, I got it." But, besides that, this Kyouya person was the manager. He was definately the one to go to for. Well, for the information on where to get the cakes and other goodies!
Then again, would that be allowed? Suichi didn't seem to mind that she ate so much, but she knew her step-mother would have a BALL. Not only would she yell, and scold her... but well, to make it simple--she'd be all over it like a fat kid on chocolate cake. Maybe she could hide it, but what would happen when one of her step-sister's found it? She knew the older one (whatever her name was. Yumi didn't bother to remember...) would snitch. "I could ask that Kyouya guy, but then I can just come here instead? I wouldn't be able to hide the sweets at home anyways. I got an arrogant, spoiled, and mean tattle-tale for a sister." The girl made a face as she spoke, her nose scrunching up. Bleh!
Yumi narrowed her eyes at Tamaki, watching him closely. She then snerked, before laughing. "Probably? You mean you don't know?" What if Kyouya DID invade other people's privacy? Wouldn't he get in trouble if he was caught? "What if he gets in trouble? Wouldn't that be a really bad issue?" She sweatdropped at his wording, but kept her smile. It was going to take some time to get used to, that much she knew. Sheesh.
She took the glass before quickly gulping it down. She sighed afterwards, sitting the glass down. Darn tea, she thought. Tea was pure evil when it burned someone's tongue. Heck, hot chocolate was evil, sometimes, too. "This is why I don't like tea..." She mumbled to herself, staring down at the tea cup. Suddenly, she looked up. A new question popped into her brain. "Tamaki... have you ever been to the US, before?"
