It was around that time of the day. That time of the day when Yumi didn't have anything to do. She didn't have any classes, considering it was after school hours. She was waiting for Suichi, of course! He was off doing some after school activity (she didn't ask what it was, for she didn't care at the time), and she was off exploring more of the grounds. A week or so had passed since she first came to Ouran Academy. And so far, the girl decided she liked it!
People for the most part were nice, even if none of them knew the lpeasures of a good ol' resse cup! The food was delicious and the sweets were even better! She sighed, the taste of the lemon and strawberry cakes coming to mind. They were delicious treats she'd first had at the Host Club. And she hadn't been there since. They were some of the best cakes she'd ever tasted in her life! Although, she had to admit, she still loved her cheap, imported goods. Who didn't love the taste of yummy skittles, powered donuts, or little debbie cakes? Ooh, swiss rolls! Yumi believed she had a pack or two in her pocket or school bag. She would have to check, right after this. It would be her "before-dinner snack". She normally had to sneak these treats (otherwise she'd get in trouble for eating too many sweets and not enough vegatables. Eww, corn. That stuff was gross. ;, but that made them all the sweeter. It was better than forbidden love, in her book anyway. Then again, she wouldn't really know.
As of now, Yumi found herself in one of the many courtyards. She tip-toed about, humming to herself. Her humming was matching the silly theme-song she'd given herself that was playing in her head. Sure, the scenery was beautiful, but she found more enjoyment in taking pictures, trying to catch the butterflies, scaring off birds. Green eyes scanned the area for her next shot, and then... she found it. It was a pretty little bird, sitting on the side of the bird bath. Immediately, her humming stopped. A smile took form on her face. It was just so far away. Slowly and carefully, she crept up in the direction of the unsuspecting creature, camera in hand. ...One... two... TRIP!!
"AH!" Yumi didn't take account for the bench that was there. She walked right into the back of it, falling foward, and landing painfully. She hung there, whining about her stomach. Her now very SORE stomach. "Ow!" The noise was enough to scare the poor bird away. Tsk tsk.

❚ ONCE AGAIN, HARUKA FOUND HERSELF IN THE
courtyard. The female had been spending a great part of her time in the school's gardens as opposed to always staying inside (well, at least she was already able to figure her way around the million hallways and classrooms). She simply couldn't help herself, and one way or another, she always ended up spending a part of her day in the courtyard.
Slowly but steadily, Haruka was adapting to the novelty that was Ouran. It had been drastically different from what she had been expecting, but still, now that she was getting used to it, it was quite nice. She still didn't understand what all the fuss about this Host Club was about and even though her female classmates kept telling her she should visit it, Haruka had yet to do such a thing (in fact, she was starting to dread the day when she would be dragged there). Truth be told, she had better things to do with her time. What was so special about that place anyway?
Take today, for instance. Today, the female had decided to take a short stroll before heading home, just to enjoy the scenery. Her heels clicked against the stone path as she walked around, thinking she should have brought her camera with her. Sure she had her ever present sketchpad with her, but drawing something would just take too long, as opposed to taking a series of quick photos. Well, maybe some other time.
She hummed quietly to herself as she walked, making mental notes of the places worth drawing/photographing. And she had to admit it, this school was quite a sight to behold. She would kill to be able to meet the architect. Haruka was immersed in these musings when a loud thud reached her ears, flowed by someone yelping and complaining. It didn't take her long to find the source.
Haruka approached the young girl and gently tapped her on the shoulder. "Excuse me, are you okay? Do you need any help?" she asked, concern lacing her voice. Funny, people seemed to fall around her a lot when she was in the courtyard. First Akihiro and now this girl.
((meh post is meh, sorry -.-' hope you don't mind me joining with haruka though)) [/blockquote][/blockquote]

//Sorry my post took so long and its meh! Working on my muse.//
Yumi didn't move. She didn't even make any attempts to get up. She stayed there, bent over the back of the bench at the waist. It hurt... but the pain was starting to dull and become numb. At least she knew she wouldn't have any serious injuriies. So, she stayed there. What was the point of getting up NOW? The bird that she wanted to capture in a photo had flown away. All due to her clumpsy nature. Why didn't she look to see if the path was clear? Or even where she was heading?! If there bird didn't get scared and flee, then she would've had a reason to get up.
She groaned, asking herself these questions in her own head. She sighed after, too, staring ahead at the fountain. She looked down at her hands, and only one good thing came to mind: the camera. She didn't drop it! It didn't go flying out of her hands! It was safe! SAFE! Unlike the camera she had brought with her to the mall a few days ago. She had been walking, taking pictures of the people, the mall, and stores. Okay, so she'd mostly been taking pictures of the stores that sold sweets and making mental notes of which stores sold the yummiest looking treats! And then...
She tripped. Once again she hadn't been paying attention, and she tripped over a little kid. The child had bent over to pick up a penny, and she, of course, tripped right over him. When she fell, not only did she lose her lolli-pop, but her camera went flying out of her hands! It flew, and fell right over the railing. It landed right into the mall fountain, about ten feet below! It broke, and she was upset. Although, that didn't last long because the very next morning, her father had presented her with a new one. It was small, teal in color... and more pricey than the one she brought from America with her. Oh well~<3.
In the past few days, she'd grown to love it. Really love it. She snickered to herself, thinking about many new and other possible shots now! Maybe she should start taking pictures inside the school? Now, then that might've been an issue... or maybe she could volunteer to be a photographer for a school club! Yumi was snapped free from her mental ramblings by a tap, and a voice. She blinked a few times, before giving the other girl a sheepish grin.
"Heee~ Yeah, that'd be great. Thanks!"

❚ IT WAS A SHAME THAT THE ONLY CHILD OF TWO
persons with great conversational skills lacked so much in that same department. In all honesty, it wasn't as if Haruka was completely unable to hold a perfectly normal conversation, she actually could, if she wanted to. The main problem, of course, was that she hardly ever wanted to. Which ended up being a good thing, cause the female had a tendency to be too sarcastic for her own good. Bottom line was, if she didn't feel any need to engage a certain conversation, she wouldn't do it. To keep herself from being labeled as a nasty or snobby person, Haruka choose to let people label her as the loner. All in all, it was best to be known as the girl who spent too much time by herself than as the girl who walked away in the middle of a conversation. Yeah, that wouldn't be too good. But before we continue, let me just say that Haruka doesn't dislike people. No, people she's okay with. Pointless conversations are the one thing she can't stand.
And what better place to stay away from said conversations than the courtyards after school hours? That was precisely her own opinion and reason to be outside at this time. Truth was, she had been taking a bit more time she had initially intended to, and she kept telling herself 'five more minutes and I'll go home' while she actually roamed about for more than those five minutes. She was about to call it a day when she was interrupted by the other girl. Well, technically, she had been the one to interrupt the other girl's... aaah... fall? Yes, this time Sasaki Haruka, the world's crappiest conversation starter had started a conversation. In her defense, the other girl seemed to be struggling quite a bit. Even she seemed to admit it, accepting the help.
She gently helped the younger girl to her feet and smiled some. "I hope you weren't hurt. Or your camera"
((i am so sorry for the delay, it's ridiculous! my muse and my life have been killing me... hope this post is at least decent)) [/blockquote][/blockquote]
