Appearance:

Daisuke stands at a fairly tall 180cm (approx. 5'11"), making him taller than the average height of a typical Japanese male. As well as having a fairly impressive height, Daisuke has a lean, but slightly lanky frame. His arms, legs, back and abs are fairly toned, because of all the sport he likes to play and the fact that he likes to stay active. Most of his strength lies in his arms and his legs, because of this. He appears to be a little on the lanky side because he is still fairly slim, even given being toned. He weighs around 75kg, making him a decent and good weight for his height.

While Daisuke might not consider himself to be attractive, he certainly isn't all that bad looking. He has naturally tanned skin, which is unblemished apart from a few freckles that are scattered sparsely over his arms and shoulders. He also sports fairly dark green hair, although it looks brighter in the sunlight, and sometimes turns a little bit lighter from the sun bleaching it during the summer. His hair is left fairly long, with the ends just touching the bottom of his neck, with floppy bangs over his face. Sometimes he just leaves his hair as it is naturally, which is sometimes a little messy, but at times he likes to style it - and by that, meaning that he pins or ties parts back, to keep it away from his face, particularly when he's playing sports. Apart from the green hair, one thing that stands out about Daisuke's appearance are his eyes. They are a golden amber in colour, and are normally full of light. His emotions are clearly expressed through his eyes, and when angered, his eyes become a little darker.

When it comes to his uniform, Daisuke isn't the neatest at wearing it. He leaves the top couple of buttons on his shirt undone, and also wears his tie loose. He hardly ever buttons up the school's light blue blazer either, and isn't very known for having his shirt tucked in, mostly because he forgets or doesn't bother. However, he does wear the appropriate school shoes and shows no other alterations to his uniform other than it being a little on the untidy side beside most, who have the shirt tucked in and buttoned completely, tie done up properly and the blazer buttoned. As such, he is always seen in the appropriate gear for whichever sport he is playing.

However, when it comes to outfits for any music recitals, they almost always need to be suits of some kind. These can vary, once again, depending on the recital and the piece he is playing on his trumpet. sometimes he would go for the standard black suit and black tie, but other times he has been seen in something like, for example, a black shirt, with the top few buttons undone and the sleeves rolled up, no tie, a golden-coloured pinstripe waistcoat and deep red dress pants, along with black dress shoes. When it comes to casualwear, he is often seen in anything that he would deem comfortable. This being said, that can vary a little. Most of the time he can be found in jeans and a shirt of some kind, normally printed. He has an assortment of hoodies that he likes wearing on top of outfits like this, as well as numerous hats. He can be quite stylish on occassion, and dress somewhat smart-casual; he knows how to dress for certain occassions.

Personality:

Daisuke is a hard-working individual, and likes to try and fit time for everything and everyone he loves into his almost hectic schedule. He's a very happy and bright person, and probably one of the nicest people that most will ever meet. One of the first things people will realise upon meeting him is that he is really rather talkative, and sometimes has a tendency to ramble on slightly, if he isn't interrupted. He has a heart of gold, and wouldn't hesitate to help anyone that was in any kind of trouble. Daisuke is rarely ever seen without a smile on his face, and will talk to practically anyone and everyone, if given the chance. He has a natural warm charm and optimistic attiude that had earned him a few close friends and acquaintances.

Although a person of many passions, Daisuke has really only two true loves when it comes to likes. Those two 'loves' are music and sport. A huge fan of both, Daisuke is quite artistic as well as athletic as a result. When it comes to music, he is very talented at playing the trumpet and is also a fairly decent guitar player. His singing voice is average, but nowhere near as bad as he believes it is. He can still hold notes and remain in tune; his voice retains a warm sound, as does the sound of his trumpet. Music is a passion that he wishes to pursue, which just goes to show how much he cares for it. He has also tried his hand at composing a few pieces of music before, which have gone over well with his tutors, even if he isn't sure if they meant it or were just saying they liked it because his parents were paying them to teach him and they thought he might get upset. As for sport, Daisuke is an avid fan of many activities. He has tried his hand at a lot of things, including basketball, soccer, American football, tennis, badminton, swimming, volleyball, rugby, as well as numerous events in athletics. He hates being cooped up indoors, which is why he likes being so active all the time.

As far as dislikes go, Daisuke is someone that is stereotypically thought to not have many of them, given his naturally happy attitude. When in fact, Daisuke sometimes has a habit of hiding his true emotions about some situations, if he isn't sure how to handle them, or he doesn't want to appear rude or upset anyone. However, one of Daisuke's pet peeves are bullies, which is why he is so thankful that Ouran doesn't really have any bullying. Frankly, even if it was out in the street, if someone was being bullied or ganged up on, Daisuke would not hesitate to step in. He is a firm believer in everyone being equal, no matter what they look like, what their social status is, or how much money they have. Another pet peeve of Daisuke's is silence; and it sometimes seems to plague him, or, to be more exact, some places that he is in. When everything is completely silent, he feels somewhat like he is being driven slowly insane. As such, when he is presented with silence, Daisuke has one of two reactions. If it is an environment where he really isn't supposed to talk, he'll sometimes sneak putting in the earphones of his ipod, or he will just start talking to fill the silence around him, to whoever will listen.

If someone were to ask Daisuke what it was he feared the most, they would only receive a couple of answers. One of the strongest fears is a common fear amongst most everyone, he's sure, and it is that of losing his loved ones somehow. His parents, his siblings, his grandparents, his cousins, aunts, uncles; even his pets. If he were to lose any of them, he would be heartbroken. As much as he knows it is only a matter of time before he loses someone, he wishes all the time for it not to happen. Fear is something that Daisuke does not like to associate himself with. For the most part, he's the type of person that will strive on through as much as possible and always try and look on the bright side of things, even when the odds are severely against him or the situation. As of yet, Daisuke's fears haven't truly happened, and he hopes that he will always be able to look on the bright side and that nothing will happen.

One of Daisuke's primary strengths is cheering up other people; he's quite the comical person, both by accident and on purpose. He likes to think that his smile and happy attitude is contagious, and he has been proven correct in that a few times, but also proven wrong a couple of times. Daisuke is also extremely loyal and would do anything for his friends. When it comes to his schooling, Daisuke has a few strengths and a few weaknesses like every other student. His best subjects are of course PE, Music, and Art. He's also rather talented at English. Maths and Literature are perhaps the two classes that he has the most trouble with, but he manages to scrape by. His weaknesses in general are fairly simple. There's his talent for not shutting up, which can irritate some people, and also he has a general lack of social and physical boundaries. Thus, he can be relatively touchy-feely sometimes, putting his arm around people, or hugging them and the like, but it is meant in a purely platonic manner, of course. Another thing that could serve as perhaps his most complex weakness, is strong emotions. A lot of the time he can be read like a book, with his emotions clearly displayed on his face, but he tries his best to hide some of his emotions if he doesn't want to upset or anger people, feigning happiness or ignorance so they think he agrees and is fine with what they said.
