Sayaka Kimishima
Type: Original
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual
Crushes: None.. so far.
Face Claim: Setsuna Sakurazaki (Mahou Sensei Negima)
Appearance:
Perhaps the first thing one would notice about Naomi is her height. Managing 172.54cm, or about 5 feet and eight inches, there are plenty of men in her class that she is taller than. Rarely seen without a somewhat uncaring expression on her face, she unintentionally intimidates people just with her presence. Her hair has been called both a nightmare and a wonder, as in ‘I wonder how her stylist got it to look like that’. Most of the left side of her hair is tied in something that could have been called a ponytail if it didn’t resemble a wing more than a tail. Her right side however, is asymmetrical with the other side. (Hard to describe everything here.)
Her usual out-of-school clothing is half boy, half girl, incorporating both a somewhat fancy suit and a skirt. (Considering her height, I’d make it at least a bit longer than the picture, but oh well) She also happens to carry around a wooden sword that she uses in Kendo Club.
And then there's the school uniform. She dislikes this large, poofy yellow dress.
Personality: Despite her appearance, Naomi isn’t very intimidating in personality. Though she has a tendency to be stoic and literal, she has a weak spot for children as well as people that look or act like children. Quiet and typically giving short answers in response to verbal questions, she is the type who would rather read books or play video games than socialize.
Her preferred style of humor is deadpan, though she isn’t known for laughing, at all, about anything. A small smile is often the most one can get her to display emotion. While she has a hard time figuring out puzzles on her own, her schoolwork is enough to put her in the top of her class.
She does have another side to her, one that she doesn’t show to anyone she is less than friends with, which, given her personality, is next to no one. This side is caring, occasionally emotional and even friendly. She has no real reason for keeping this side locked up, she usually just says something about not having the time to bother with most people. Her interest in kendo actually stems from this side’s want to protect herself and others. This side also doesn’t care about appearance, but rather personality.
History:
The youngest daughter of the president of a reputable (and perhaps vast) video game company, Sayaka grew up exposed to both luxury and video games. When she was little, she even helped voice some of the younger characters in a few. Her older brother and sisters looked after her most of the time, as no maid can replace strong family bonds. She has gone to Ouran for all of her schooling, and is just transferring in from the junior high department this year.
Her mother, Naomi Kimishima, works as a surgeon at a hospital not too far from Ouran, despite there being more than enough money in the family to where she wouldn’t have to work. Medicine is simply a passion of her mother’s, held over from before her father’s business flourished. Sayaka has recently taken an interest in medicine as well, mostly thanks to the company’s successful Hospital series.
Her two brothers are Souji and Shin'ichi, who are very nearly identical twins in all but personality. They have already graduated from college and become managers at her father’s company. Her sister, Rin, is currently in college at Tokyo but comes to see how her little sister is doing when she can.
Her relationship with her father is more or less friendly, though he does work long hours at night. But that’s enough about her family history, time to get to her personal history.
Perhaps the main reason she acts so cool and stoic is because of the characters she began to admire in video games. Either way, none of her family noticed, after all, she didn’t act this way around them. However, it did start distancing her from anyone that might have wanted to be her friend. She seemed not to care, as she only wanted quality friends anyways.
It was only once she was in the elementary department that she started becoming more and more introverted. She started reading books more rather than socializing with children her age. Sometimes, others picked on her for it. Meanwhile, she started getting better grades than much of her class due to her choosing to study rather than socialize.
The reason she got into kendo involves the bullying she went through. It started getting worse in her fourth year. Suddenly cornered by a group of them, seeking nothing less than to ruin the books she was reading, she was suddenly saved by a mysterious pair of boys from the sixth year class.
This lead into kendo because the taller of the two introduced her to the club. Ever since she has continued going to the kendo club to train. While her cool exterior personality would probably say that it's just because she doesn't want to be defenseless, her interior personality knows she is interested in protecting not only herself, but others as well.
In middle school, she was consistently in the top ten of her class every year. So far in high school this has been the same, and though she would never admit it, she stays out of the top three for the benefit of the scholarship students.
(I do hope it's alright that I may have used Honey and Takashi here, if only a little bit.)Controller's Information

Sample RP: (This was part of a thread. Character is a ten-year old mage with water and ice affinities, and the universe is Black Butler. This is one of my better starting posts for a thread.)
Today was one of the few days he could visit London, most of the rest of the week Elia was kept busy at home. The park was fairly empty, so he had decided to visit there. He liked nature more than man-made constructions. There seemed to be few people in this area of the park, so he idly played with the water in the manner that only someone similar to him could. It made ribbons in the air and generally danced at his command. Since he only used a small amount of the fountain's water, it was the least energy intensive thing he could do with the water.
He had earlier noticed another creature here, with an aura indicating some sort of supernatural origin, but he could not identify it from its aura alone, as he had never seen anything similar. And since his ability to gather information from auras was limited to identifying the supernatural creature's species, nothing more, he could not tell if it was dangerous or not.
And then, while he was still playing with the water, he distinctly heard someone else approaching the fountain. When he looked around, he recognized the aura of the creature he had seen before getting closer. When he was able, he observed the numerous scars for a moment before focusing back on the water. It was rude to stare, after all. "Good afternoon." Was his reply to the creature's words. It sounded rough, but he got a feeling of curiosity and interest from the voice. He seemed to have a talent for only attracting the right kind of attention these days, rather than the angry mobs his teacher made scary stories about to keep him from using magic in front of most people.
