::Aiko Maro::
Type: original
Age: 16
Gender: female
Sexuality: heterosexual
Crushes: "Ever since I first laid eyes on him in class... Oh, Hikaru..."
Face Claim: None, she is my hand-drawn character.
Appearance:Aiko stands at about 5'8" and weighs about 120 lbs, but one never asks a lady about her weight, right? Her long, dark brown hair is always seen with a pink ribbon in it in some way. Usually it pulls back half of her hair, but she wears the same ribbon in different hairstyles as well. Her favorite part of her appearance is her blue eyes that her mother has always complimented since she was young.
Pink is her favorite color, so she always wears a least a small bit of it in any outfit she wears. At school, the bit of pink is always only the ribbon in her hair. Despite not being a fan of the color yellow, she does like the girls' uniform at Ouran High School. Perhaps it is because of her affinity for "girly" clothing, such as dresses and skirts. Aiko likes to dress up and finds any excuse to wear a dress. Maybe the attention her outfits draw are meant to help her break out of her shell?
Personality:Very soft-spoken and shy, Aiko finds it difficult to make friends. She worries too much about making things perfect and often gets depressed when things don't go according to plan. At home, she speaks even less than at school, afraid to say the wrong thing when words are her family's most powerful weapon.
But when she isn't stressing over perfection, Aiko is lost in the world of romance. She can usually be found with a shoujo manga in hand and can often be seen staring out the window, daydreaming while not busy with schoolwork. Now if only she wasn't so nervous around boys, she may very well find herself a boyfriend.
Schoolwork is very important to Aiko. Unlike most of the wealthy students with too much time on their hands, she takes school very seriously. She is determined to maintain a straight a average to please her father. And when her schoolwork is done, she likes to find an empty music room to practice the piano. She'd taught herself in the elementary school, so she's not the most talented, but she enjoys playing soft, slow melodies.
History:Noboru and Keiko Maro were successful, wealthy lawyers, happily married and without children. And they liked it that way. So, the tiny baby Aiko was an accident. She grew up feeling that she was loved, but at the same time somewhat feeling like a burden to her parents. They were often busy with work and rarely had time for her. And the time spent together didn't exactly feel like "quality family" time. It was always more of "'how was your day?' around the table" time, then a quick bath, and off to bed. Aiko often felt lonely as a child, especially since she was an only child, but never mentioned it to her parents, not wanting to be a bother.
She admired her parents' intelligence and dedication to everything they did. And that was exactly what a young Aiko tried to emulate. One day in music class at the elementary school, she was allowed to play on the piano a bit. Plunking out a few notes, she discovered a love for the instrument. Her parents were never musically inclined, so Aiko decided to surprise them by teaching herself to play and perhaps impress them and have some of their attention all for herself. But she was always too nervous to mess up, so she never did perform for them, but continued to practice in secret.
Growing up, she never really played with the other children. But being alone was something she was used to, so it never really bothered her when the other children didn't notice her or ask her to play with them. On many occasions in middle school, she wondered if even her teachers would notice if she didn't show up for class one day and went to play the piano instead. But maintaining high grades was too important to her to skip out on classes.
Hoping that high school would give her the chance to finally be someone in her parents' eyes (and maybe someone else's as well), Aiko studied hard for entrance exams into the prestigious Ouran Academy. She was overjoyed to discover that she'd made it to the school. Determined to finally be somebody, she walks the halls of Ouran with wealthy young people... with way too much time on their hands.Controller's Information

Sample RP: ((This is from another rp site I'm on. Luca, abandoned for many years, is now in search of his little sister to, in his eyes, rescue her from their evil parents.))
The soft, slow melody of a violin played through his headphones as Luca watched the morning rain fall. He took shelter under a large tree across the street from Salida Public Schools. Children ran into the building, holding book-bags and jackets over their heads to avoid getting wet. Fall was always wet and dreary in Salida. It made the residents actually look forward to winter just for the beautiful snow and the sight of the Rocky Mountains. The high peaks were hardly visible in the dark, rainy morning.
Suddenly, a cascade of dark brown hair caught his eye. It was the same color as his own. The same shade all Ainsworth family members had. Pushing himself away from the tree, Luca focused on the short girl running towards the school. "It can't be..." he whispered to himself. He began to follow her, eventually running to catch up.
"Lola!" he shouted, grabbing hold of the girl's shoulder. "Lola, it's me! It's Big Brother! I found you! Let your Big Brother take you away from here! I'll save you! I'll -" He stopped as he turned the girl to face him. Big green eyes stared back at him. Lola would have had brown eyes. "But... Lola... You're not..." Just then, his CD changed to Lola's Song. He stared at the girl, hoping it was really his little sister, that the green eyes were just his imagination... that they'd turn brown and show relief because he'd come to rescue her. The eyes remained a bright green.
