I come from a world you've only believed existed in passing; a stray thought of what if here and there as a Hollow is sent through the gates. No one really thinks Hell's existence makes a difference. Why should they care about a plane that will never affect theirs, after all? Six hundred years ago, a war in Hell, called Sheogh in our tongue, broke out against the Hell Sovereign at the time. His name was Abaddon, he who destroys, and neither was he a tyrant but neither was he kind. He wanted power, of any kind, and cared not whom he walked on to get there. Our mages summoned creatures of Undeath to stop him in his quest for this power, and while they succeeded they gained a fearsome replacement.

The Shades, neither living nor dead. They tore Abaddon from his throne and ripped his very spirit to shreds, and then they turned on those around them, and eventually each other. The Shade Wars began. And the Shade Wars brought nothing but destruction. The Gates of Orion began to fall. One by one, the demons of Sheogh fell into despair. Abaddon was much preferable to this. And then Nysena, revered as the Goddess of Order, chose one Shade among them all, and used him to destroy the rest. The dimensions began to shift back into place; things were as they should be. In the aftermath of the Shade Wars, there came a terrible darkness, called the Taint, infecting the minds of our people and turning them into madmen. The Dekar, admired for their intelligence, grace and power, have become nothing but a memory, either long dead or hiding. Sheogh is at war with itself once again, driven into chaos by something no one can even see.

Our mistakes are our own. We are the demons of Hell, the Kazan of Sheogh. We are many things, but we are not stupid; we want no quick fix. But we cannot go this alone. We need your help.[/center]
